Thanks to all of you who have prayed for Beth and her family this year.
She has had an excellent response to the chemotherapy treatments for
her Leukemia and has gone 2 months-in-a-row now without needing more
medical interventions - and we are all praising God for her remission &
his mercies!
Thanks also to all of you who have continued to pray for her recovery
throughout the summer and fall - her needs now center around keeping
her immune system strong by getting enough sleep and eating a
nutritionally-rich, cancer-fighting diet.
In addition to this praise, I have 3 more healing prayer requests to
ask you to include in your daily prayers for December, and on into
2006:
1. Larry D'Apice, who provided many of Beth & Dave's prayer updates to
us, has recently been diagnosed with ostiomylitis (an infection in his
SI joint and hip) and is currently unable to stand up or walk. He may
need intravenous antibiotics for up to 6 weeks, so prayers for pain
relief and a quick recovery are needed. You can send your replies
directly to Larry's wife, Valerie, at
valeriedapice@... if you would like.
2. Last Thursday, on the 8th of December, my musician friend, Mike
Peters, was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). The good
news is that although the illness is not curable, it is very treatable
with chemotherapy. His was caught early in Stage 1 so his treatment
will begin on December 22nd with the mildest form of chemotherapy
available. Please pray for Mike, especially on that day!
Ironically, 10 years ago Mike was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma
and went into spontanous remission without needing chemotherapy.
Needless to say, his doctors were completely amazed by his recovery -
but those of us who have prayed for miracles before know how completely
God can answer those prayers. Please pray now that his CLL responds
completely to the treatments and that his body, mind & spirit recover
quickly from the chemo, as well. His wife, Jules, and his young son,
Dylan, will need our support through out this time, also. You can
reach them all at: mpo@...
3. Lastly, my childhood friend Lisa recently asked me to pray for the
family of her son's friend who committed suicide in mid-November. Her
son, Josh is only 19, and his friend was about the same age. His
mother, Phyllis, would like to hear from anyone who has also had a
child commit suicide, or a family member who has survived the death of
a young brother or sister in the same way. Please pray for Phyllis'
emotional healing as she continues daily to work through the grieving
process and acknowleges the profound loss of her son. You can reach
Phyllis thru Lisa at: mcroblee83@...
Thank you all for being such faithful prayer warriors with me
throughout this past year. It has turned out to be a year full of
personal challenges, but they have been easier to bear with the support
you've given me.
I hope you are all able to enjoy a peaceful and joyous Christmas with
your families and are looking forward as much as I am to what the Lord
brings to all of us in 2006.
God Bless & Keep You,
Lyn
