Here are the 2 updates I've had so far this week about Beth & her
treatment plans. After a call on Wednesday it looks like she responded
very well to the chemo and may have even gotten the all-clear a day or
2 earlier than expected. I was able to spend Saturday night with her
at the hospital and she was tolerating the treatments fairly well,
getting to go on walks with her mask on on good days, but it did make
her very tired and nauseous at other times.
She's keeping her spirits up by reading her bible and cards that come
to her so please consider sending a card over the next few weeks as she
remains in the hospital under observation to see how her immune system
responds & her remission develops.
Thanks again for all your support and prayers. I know God will heal
her and keep her safe thru-out all of the processes she needs to go
thru for her bone marrow transplant and our support will be a blessing
to her and to Dave & the kids, too.

Hello Friends,
Well Beth went in the hospital Wednesday night and began the first six
day regimen of chemo last night. The good thing is that despite this
recent relapse she had been feeling very strong and healthy. That in
many ways is also the frustrating thing to Beth and Dave, that in spite
of her feeling well, she is sick again.
The hope here is, that this recent strength, will enable her better to
tolerate the rigors of chemo therapy. She will be in hospital for 30
full days, with respites between rounds of chemo. Dave tells me that
Beth will have a DVD player in her room, and would enjoy a movie or
video. please respond and i can get you an address for her at the
hospital.
Please keep Dave and the kids, Aaron & Amanda, & Beth's parents in your
prayers also. As they travel back and forth to Boston every 2-3 days.
Dave has told me of how grateful they are for the almost 200 of you all
on just this prayer list alone. and on several other groups also. So
let us keep bringing our sister Beth before the Throne of Grace!
More news as it comes,
--
Blessings,
Larry
Please see below update from Dave:
Hello,
I spoke with Beth by phone today she seemed pretty good although her
pretty good tells me the Chemotherapy is pretty rough. Aaron, Amanda
and I will spend some time with her later today hopefully spending some
time outside on this gorgeous day.
We are praying for a quick knock down of these leukemic cells and there
has already been some indication that there is some decline in the
leukemic activity. The goal is zero % immature cells (blasts) detected
in the blood by the end of this 6 day cycle which is next Wednesday,
she is on day 3 today. The nausea and vomitting is not easy to take.
As you know, Beth loves cards with your favorite verse in the card or
on a note card. and she appreciates the prayers for comfort and
strength. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and every decision we must
make.
She has a long road again as Larry mentioned. Her hospital room address
is
Beth Beguerie
Brigham and Women's Hospital
Floor 5A Room 12
75 Francis Street
Boston, MA 02115
This battle is not ours but the Lords. We stand firm in this.
Our thanks,
Dave, Beth, Amanda & Aaron
