I just spoke with David and he and the kids have joined Beth at Brigham
& Women's Hospital to be with her while the transplant is being done.
The stemcells have arrived safely from Europe this afternoon and are
even now being transfused to Beth.
David has asked for people to continue to pray during this process that
it would go smoothly without complications and that the graft disease
that might possibly develop is stopped in it's tracks and not given a
chance to take hold in any of the areas where the stemcells are not
supposed to be.
Beth reported suffering lots of nausea thru out the week, but she feels
she is past the worst of it and stabilizing. This is very good news as
she has reported being very tired after treatments before and feeling
like it takes her a long time to rebound from them. But she has a good
attitude about her situation and seems to be in good spirits despite
the difficult circumstances.
Please pray when you recieve this email and send your faith out to her
and the family during this crucial time. Also, pray for the doctors in
charge of the transplant and for all the staff and workers who have
helped Beth at the hospital to this point. They have been an awesome
team and helped Beth thru the worst of the symptoms of chemo &
radiation side effects so far.
This is one more opportunity for us to praise God for his faithfulness
in the face of uncertainty and be a witness for the redemptive message
of Jesus - when we accept his offer to lay all our troubles on him - he
will be there for us.
