Debbie Irving (greene) has asked for prayer for her 21-year old son,
Jonathan, who is also being treated for cancer at Dana Farber/Brigham&
Woman's Hospital in Boston as there is a reported blood shortage this
summer. He will have a stemcell transplant from his younger brother
within the next month or so (which is a HUGE answer to prayer), but
knowing how busy everyone is during the summer she would like to remind
people to DONATE BLOOD and/or PLATELETS at your nearest donation center
or participate in any local BLOOD DRIVES in your area.

Also, Stephen in New Jersey has asked for prayer from this chain as "I
had a doctor's appointment today that didn't go too well. They ended up
running a series of blood tests, of which, we'll get the results on
Monday. Our prayer request is that everything comes back clean and
normal. Many thanks, I really appreciate it. ~Peace and grace, Stephen"

And I would like to ask everyone to pray for those who were involved in
the Mississippi bridge collapse in Minneapolis last night and to
consider giving blood that could help the hospitals in that area who
are responding to the crisis, now. They will be holding a Prayer
Service at Noontime there (1pm Eastern time) and I would like to
suggeset that we pray at that time also in order to add our voices to
those directly affected by this tragedy in order to bring more messages
of healing and peace during a very confusing and
potentially-devastating time for them.

Just as we've prayed for Beth's doctors and nurses and her whole
treatment team, please also pray for the rescue workers and emergency
personnel who are continuing the difficult work of finding those who
are still reported missing and working with the families of those who
were killed and injured. We can also thank GOD it wasn't worse and
that so many were able to walk away and help others to get out safely.

Thanks for all your prayers today and I will send along any updates
about Beth as soon as I get them.

PS.The CARDS that have come thru so far have been absolutely wonderful
with their scripture verses and encouraging messages of LOVE, HOPE &
STRENGTH and I will print them out and bring them to her within the
next day or 2.
