Subject: Update on Beth - Prayer Request
Hi All,
Thanks for your continued prayers for Beth. She has been home 2 weeks
today.
She has been in for 3 follow-up visits in this period and I will be
taking her in on Monday. Her transplant Dr. is watching her lab work
very closely as her levels began to fall sharply in the last 7days.
Beth would tell you she feels pretty good 2 weeks out of Bone Marrow
Transplant. She looks great as well.
The big areas of concern are and we are asking you to pray with us
about the following:
- Beth may be having some graph vs host disease (GVHD), new cells
attacking her body, She has been experiencing rashes which are a part
of this process. Pray that these would not become serious.
- Her blood counts would begin to come back again. She may require some
transfusions during this period. Monday could be a long day if this is
the case, we have been praying her platelet count espcially along with
her white cell count would climb in the next 72 hours.
- Remain infection and fever free
- Remain leukemia free.
We are grateful to God for His goodness!!
Our thanks to you for making this a matter of prayer!
We will update you early next week.
