Thank you all for your continued faithfulness to pray when asked and to
continue to praise & pray for those mentioned on this prayerchain, even
after God has provided answers to the initial requests.

Over the past few months, God has put it on my heart to expand the
initial purpose of this prayerchain from one focusing mostly on my
friend Beth & her physical recovery from leukemia (including her
stemcell transplant) to more general prayer requests.

In that spirit, I have a couple of PRAISES and a couple of REQUESTS to
share with you regarding my own needs and those of my friends, Wendy &
Jim Laverty, (who Beth & I attended Gordon College with in the late
80's):

1. REQUEST: From Jim in Pennsylvania, "Wendy and I would appreciate
your prayers for us. On Easter Sunday, we traveled to Boston to see Dr.
Evangelos Gragoudas, a specialist at Mass. Eye & Ear Infirmary who is
part of the Eye Cancer Network (www.eyecancer.com). He had operated on
the father of a friend of mine who had a similar condition in 2005. Dr.
Gragoudas confirmed what we discovered at Wills Eye Hospital on March
10th. He said the "spot" in Wendy's left eye is "suspicious" looking
and that we will need to return to a specialist in a few months to see
if it has grown. If it grows he said that it would need to be treated
and would most likely result in the loss of vision in that eye.

We know that our confidence is in the Lord (II Chronicles 16:9,12)even
though we deeply appreciate the abilities of gifted people like Dr.
Gragoudas. For this reason, we are asking if you would continue to
pray with us for God to help us in our time of need.

2. PRAISE from Lyn: I have been accepted as a Charity Support Trekker
on the LOVE HOPE STRENGTH Foundation's PERU ROCKS trip to LIMA for a
Benefit Concert by Mike Peters & other musicians making the trip in
support of leukemia & other cancer survivors. In addition to the
concert in aid of a local cancer hospital, the group is raising
awareness by trekking the ancient INCA TRAIL to the pyramids of MACHU
PICHU where the musicians in the group will conclude this
once-in-a-lifetime adventure by performing a special acoustic
mountain-top concert. You can support my participation in this trip by

3. PRAISE: God has found me another way to expand my love of travel
besides being involved in the PERU ROCKS trip. I have a new online

out flights, hotels, rental cars & even golf & cruise packages for your
family reunion or your church group to enjoy. You can also go there &

4. REQUEST: I am currently looking for a new job as my counseling work
with families involved with the Mass. Dept. of Mental Health has
recently come to an end. The work was very intense and draining as
well as very fulfilling but I believe God is leading me in a new
direction and wants me to develop my talents working with children &
families in new ways. In addition to looking for work in the
counseling, education and/or non-profit sectors I am hoping to start my
own Family Life Coaching practice, to include christian families and
churches looking for speakers on family topics. Please contact me if

home. Our home has been on the market just 6 weeks. We plan to close on
May 30th. We thank God for his wonderful provision in this challenging
real estate period!!! Will you pray that everything would stay on
track?
