Has anyone on this list gotten Roma Ryan's book, "Water Shows the
Hidden Heart", that talks more about the Loxian language she invented?
I live in the United States, and I haven't been able to find a copy,
unless I also order the accompanying special deluxe version of the CD
"Amarantine". I can't afford to pay $50 or $70 USD for the privilege
of reading a small book of only 158 pages.
Also, I tried to borrow the book through my Interlibrary Loan Service.
The only library in the world that had that book listed on their
service, is one in West Yorkshire, and they don't want to loan it
outside of their country.
Do any of you have any suggestions for what I could do?

I also received the album for Christmas, and even though it is a
Christmas album, it's not like most Christmas songs. I still listen to
it and will probably will listen to it all year long. Karen, OR

I liked the album 'And Winter Came' but now that Christmas has passed
I probably wont be listening to it much anymore. The song "My, My Time
Flies" has made it onto some of my itunes playlists but that is about
it. I just hope we don't have to wait a long time for the next studio
album. Hopefully Enya will have another studio release in 2009.
Wishful thinking?

After posting my question, I bought a copy of the album, and found track
11, "My My Time Flies" interesting, unlike what she usually does, with the rock
and roll style. There's one verse where she refers to the Beatles crossing Abbey
Road with one of them bare foot. Me also being a Beatles fan, I thought that was
good. I also liked track 8, 1 Toy Soldier, and found her last track Silent Night
( Choral ) quite beaufiful.

Hello everyone,
I've created a play list that includes a lot of Enya's music. The songs
are in no particular order. There are also a few other songs from
various Celtic singers. Check it out and let me know what you think. I
created this so I can listen to her beautiful music even while I am at
work or on my computer at home.

I don't know if it's the lyrical content, the lovely harmonies, the
angelic voices or the inspirational flow of her musical style, but I
am deeply touched by Enya's music. My soul has never enjoyed such
heartfelt compositions. I am filled with joy, gratitude, awe for the
world around us and a sense of child-like wonder when listening to
Athair ar Nearmh, the Memory of Trees, China Roses, Angeles, Hope Has
a Place, Tea-House Moon... the list goes on and on. The Memory of
Trees is my favorite album of hers with Shepherd Moons a close 2nd.
The recent changes in my life, being very significant and at times
extreme, have helped me have a new appreciation for life, love, and
the inherent goodness in all things. Thank you, Enya. And I thank
you most of all, Heavenly Father.
Lyrics are up for And Winter Came... and Amarantine!
If you find any problems at all, please let me know.
Thanks,
Rachel

What a wonderful story. It's another reason to listen to Enya. I
myself listen to Watermark almost every day. Even though I didn't go
through the trials that you did, there is just something about that
one CD. Welcome to the group. Karen

I have several of Enya's CD's. On the night my twin grand daughters
were born; 2 1/2 months too early and very premature, I was listening
to one of her CD's in my car on the way to the hospital. Two and a half
years later, I'm still listening to that CD. I worry that I'm going to
wear it out. The other day my son got in my car to move it. He
said, "Mom, you really need to get some new music." He just doesn't
understand. The CD I'm talking about is Watermark. I alternate between
that one and a few others, but, I find myself going back to that one
time and time again. It was like a ritual for me, the drive to and from
the hospital to see them in the NICU for two months while listening to
the CD. It calmed me and my worries. It still does.

1. And Winter Came
2. Journey of the Angels
3. White Is In The Winter Night
4. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
5. Trains And Winter Rains
6. Dreams Are More Precious
7. Last Time By Moonlight
8. One Toy Soldier
9. Stars And Midnight Blue
10.The Spirit Of Christmas Past
11.My! My! Time Flies!
12.Oiche Chiuin (chorale)
Sorry there have been practically no updates until now. Been so busy,
I've forgotten about most things. Sorry about all the spam; I tried to
get rid of as much of it as I could. I don't know about you, but I can
hardly wait until Enya's new album comes out next month! They had one
song from the album, "Trains and Winter Rains." I didn't much care for
the lyrics at first, but it's growing on me, and I like it now. :)
Let me know what you all think.
