Who are your favorite composers?

I'm not sure why, but it seems many boards just drop down to nothing but spam after awhile. I joined this group because I did a search on film music. Unfortunately, by then it was already to the almost nothing post level. I'm afraid I'm not typically a heavy poster by nature, but I'd be happy to participate in a new discussion thread. For years, I have been collecting both rare and not so rare film scores and it has always been my dream to one day be a film score composer.

Subject: [The Film Music Clubhouse] Long time due letter
This is a letter I should have written a year ago, but for several reasons of practical everyday life, was postponed until today.
Once upon a time this group, which I joined years ago, was made by and for real enthusiasts of movie music; they wrote, exchanging impressions and comments about any old or new film and helped each other to find rare soundtracks and so on.
There was a gentleman, by the name of Peter Morrison, that answered each and any letter addressed to the group, adding his often acute comments on any subject and stimulating the others to add their own.
I don't know what really happened while I wasn't looking, but Morrison is no more there, the Owner is a nameless, sexless, ageless person (I hope it is a person) and the moderator is a Ms. Helen, who doesn't moderate anything, because there's just nothing to moderate, except perhaps the crowd trying to post more and more spam.
Nobody posts anymore a true letter about any subject and the only three times it happened, with three guys asking for help in finding films and soundtracks and I offered at once my help, they never answered with a thank you or even a f**k you...Just a cosmic silence.
If this is going to be the normal way of being for this group, I think I'll leave it, even if, I'm sure of it, nobody will notice or give a damn about it.
Greetings to all ghosts,
Rocco
