A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the shows for the first
part of the "Full Moon Arise" Tour! Thanks for making it a big
success! From all you freaks in Canada to you crazy mofos down in
Mexico and of course our fiends here in the states you made it one of
the best tours we have ever had! Also for those of you who missed the
shows with The Voodoo Glow skulls and PieTaster do yourself a favor
and check out their sites and go see them when they come around. Two
of the funniest bands to tour with of all time. We are working on
getting PICS up on the site so you can see what we are talking about.
Any one with PICS out there send them in to us. You will see more
dates with both bands next year if all works out.
Now to the news As most of you know we just released a new EP/CD ROM
on Fast Music. Here is the spill on it. The Independents "Full Moon
Arise" EP/CD ROM The latest explosive release from the Independents
on FastMusic. (FastMusic.com) Five new studio tracks Engineered,
Produced & Mastered by The Independents and Brian McKenzie plus a
bonus CD ROM (The Independents the First 10 years.) This incredible
EP/CD ROM contains art work done by Danny Miller and Darren Merinuk
just for starters! Look for lots of hidden suprises on this including
the video for Death Notice and a few Bonus songs. There are tons of
PICS and Posters and other amazing collectibles in this demon child.
The first pressing sold out in the first week but don't fret Fast
Music has pressed more and Carolyn and suburban home are getting them
in stores as fast as they can. For you to lazy to leave your holes
you can order it here off our site or from Fast Music . Interpunk and
many other online stores are also carrying it and the rest of the
Independents catalog now. Let the world be warned!
I've gotten a lot of e mails on when our next tour will be. To be
honest we planning on cutting back on touring the states as much as
we have the past few years. Nothing against our fiends here but we
are thinking more quality then quantity and playing more over seas as
well. Also just got back from a trip to NYC to celebrate the naming
of Joey Ramone Place.Thats right Joey has a street named after him.
Check you search engines for all the stories on this. The streets
were blocked by friends and fans. You should have been there to
witness this!!! Also filming more interviews for the dvd this
weekend. looks great so far! A lot more news to come soon!
The Rocky Horror Punk Rock Show is finally out! Springman Records
picked up the pieces and has just released this 19 track monster.
There are some great tracks on this blood sucker by Alkaline Trio,
The Ataris, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Swinging utters, The
Independents and many more. You can pick it up in most stores and off
our website! We will also be sending out posters with the first few
hundred orders! Springman plan a huge promotional campaign for this
so be on the look out for some great collectible Independents swag!
