Hey everyone,
I've been to all 5 of the Brookville shows in NYC, the most recent one this past
Friday. All were excellent, but I did not take pictures. One of my friends
took some at the 3rd show I think, but I haven't gotten them from her yet so I
will pursue it and share.
The only problem with the shows is that I have gotten addicted to the news songs
- they are so good! The problem is, none of us can get our hands on the new
songs since they haven't been released yet, and they won't be released anytime
soon.
I was able to speak to Andy briefly and he seems very busy with a lot of
things. Dominique was at last Friday's show with a camcorder but I don't think
it's for public consumption. It was really fun to see Dominique watch Andy sing
"I've Got A Feeling" as the show's closer :)
Otherwise, Ivy have been recording slowly in the studio and they aren't in a
rush, they're just letting it grow organically it seems. So anyways, that's as
much of a scoop as there is. I guess Andy/Randee will let us know when we will
be able to buy the new album but it doesn't sound like it will be anytime soon
so don't get your hopes up. But trust me, the 5 or so new songs are really,
really, really good. I especially like the one that I think is called "Happy".
There is another one where Andy plays piano and is very Tahiti 80-esque...funky.
I'll send pics out to the list when I have access to them. Where are all the
Brookville/Ivy fans in NYC? It's not that hard to come to a show if you live in
NYC!

At least there's still that Brookville DVD for all of us who can't
make it...
