Welcome aboard. I love St. Etienne's Good Humour, and have been a Boo Radleys
fan ever since I heard The Finest Kiss on the way to work one morning many, many
years ago. The first Paco EP is well worth hunting down, and the full-length
(This Is Where We Live) really is a lot like Ivy.
What's Axe Riverboy?
Yes, things have been awfully quiet around here lately.

Subject: [theivyvine] Question about Andy's current professional relationship
with Xavier Boyer
My first post here.
By way of introduction: I'm a big fan of Ivy and have all of their CDs. Also a
big Tahiti 80 fan and have all of their output except Activity Center which is
hard to find in stores. I have nothing by Axe Riverboy or Paco, but the one
Brookville CD I have, I love. Also, love Saint Etienne and Boo Radleys, so you
can see I'm devoted to that wonderful pre-psychedlic 60's sound!
Does anyone have any inside scoop, gossip, or whatnot concerning what I have
imagined to be a split between Xavier Boyer of Tahiti 80 and Andy Chase? Andy's
excellent touch was on all the Tahiti 80 efforts until the noticeably sub-par
"Fosbury" [as in Fosbury Flop, perhaps?) on which he receives no mention
whatsoever.
I saw in a post here that Tahiti 80's rhythm section (Pedro) was working with
Andy, but whatever happened to Tahiti 80? Wallpaper, Puzzle, Extra Pieces all
were such great stuff but this band seems to have fallen off the radar.
I know this had been a bit off-topic, but hey, sorry
