Yo,
Anyone heard Holly's new album "The Ones We Never Knew"? I picked it
up just recently, after constant nagging from my fellow Universal
interns, and it's been playing non-stop in the car. Stop by and grab
it, it's a good one!
Cheerz,

Jamiroquai have been nominated for three awards
in the Capital Awards 2002, which are run by Capital
Radio in London and being held on 27 March. The
categories that Jamiroquai are nominated in are London's
Favourite Group, Favourite Album and Favourite Dance Act.
WorldPOP has speculated that Jay ran into a spot
of trouble at one of the after parties following
last nights' awards. They write "Jay Kay was attended
the BMG label party at London's Home House and was
involved in a scuffled inside the club's member's bar. The
star was eventually thrown out on to the street by
four burly bouncers. An onlooker said: 'Jay Kay
stumbled out onto the street clutching a glass of vodka.
He looked like he'd been in a bit of bother in the
club. He stumbled his way down the steps with a girl
clinging on to his arm and went absolutely mental at the
photographers waiting.'"
The publicly announced that the song which Jay
Kay and Anastacia will perform at next weeks Brit
Awards will be kept secret until the awards night, it
turns out that Jay announced at one of the recent
Sydney concerts that the duet will be Bad Girls, the
Donna Summer track that Jamiroquai have covered during
their A Funk Odyssey tour.

"Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay is expected to plead
guilty to charges of assault and criminal damage when he
appears in court on Monday.

The charges stem from
an incident in April when Jay Kay allegedly attacked
a photographer outside a London nightclub and
destroyed his camera.

The star could face a six
month stretch in jail if convicted, which is the
maximum sentence for common assault."
give the album some time and it will grow on
you.. it's one of those albums that you have to give it
time.. i think it's good, not as good as emercengy but
after ten years of making music i don't think i would
be able to make it all sound the same.
Looks like A Funk Odyssey is really bombing out
here in the states. I bought it and was less than
excited by it. I still love Jamiroquai and would see them
in an instant if I could, but A Funk Odyssey kinda
blows!
A pre-recorded interview with Jay will be shown on Canadian TV channel
MuchMoreMusic on Wednesday 26th at 10pm and 1am ET. If you go to the site you
can read excerpts from their interview.
A Funk Odyssey has dropped to number three in the French album chart, with
Little L at number 22. Across the Atlantic, AFO has dropped thirty places to 74
in the US Billboard 200 chart for 6 October
Following the devistating news from the US,
Jamiroquai are currently stranded in New York. This
information is from a Sony music reprasentative who is in New
York with a number of French competition winners who
travelled to see the Hammerstein Ballroom concert on Monday
night. The band will now be waiting for international
flights from the US to resume when they will head back to
London.
