Yes! In fact I'm still here in Tanglewood. By luck, we got 4th row seats. It
was amazing to see him up close. During the opening 2002 Olympic theme, his
face went absolutely crazy as the violins performed complex runs. The ET was
great and the hints of Superman and JAWS during a special arrangement were also
exciting.

Although most of the audience liked it, I wasn't too happy about Josh Grobin
being there. He took away from the John Williams experience and also led to
fewer encores for him. The only Williams encore was the Raiders March, which
was outstanding of course. With Grobin there, many many teenage girls followed.
He got enormous cheers and shouts, while Williams' applause was more subdued.
Afterwords I waited for an autograph, but neither artist came out because the
crowds were overwhelming with the addition of Grobin.

Still, the music sounded great. It was a thrill. Did anyone else go?
