METALLICA's French-only concert DVD, "Francais Por Une Nuit", or "French For One
Night", arrived on November 23. The disc is available at all retailers in
France, but is also for sale worldwide at the band's web site. Bassist Robert
Trujillo told The Pulse of Radio that he expects it to be a special release.
"What I've seen of it, it's very beautiful," he said. "We're playing in a Roman
coliseum and it's a beautiful night, an incredible crowd. It's special for me,
and I connect with the French as well. My wife's from Paris, I have a great time
when I'm there, I even have surfed there a few times. France is cool. This is a
special moment for them, it's a special moment for us."

A short audio clip of Trujillo talking about the "Francais Por Une Nuit" DVD can
be streamed at this location (Real Media).

In addition to the band's complete 18-song set, the disc also includes
interviews with the group and five video clips shot by members of the audience.

A statement posted on the band's website said, "ALL aspects of the project are
French as the show was filmed, recorded, and edited with French camera and
recording crews, the artwork on the package and special box set (more on that in
a minute!) were created by a French design team; even the credits are in
French."

The DVD comes in three formats: standard DVD or Blu-ray, in a digipack with a
16-page booklet, and a deluxe limited edition box set that includes the DVD, a
copy of "Death Magnetic" on CD, a T-shirt, laminated pass, and exclusive photos.

Happy Thanksgiving All!

Hector Saldaña of San Antonio Express-News recently conducted an interview with
MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine. A few excerpts from the chat follow below.

On "Endgame" tour preparations:

"I'm pretty well ready to do my job. I just make sure I have my workout gear and
my personal stuff together, and make sure I have what I need on stage. It's a
matter of, 'How dedicated am I?' Is this a joke? Is this a hobby? When it's time
to go, I'm ready."

On MEGADETH's new album, "Endgame":

"When you have a record like ['Endgame'] and you look at the sales and they just
aren't there, you start to take that personally. I gotta tell you, it's been so
frustrating for us the last few years with the way things are going in the music
industry. I remember back when people would say something and then keep their
word. I remember back when people that worked at radio actually knew what
working at radio meant."

On being credited alongside SLAYER, ANTHRAX and METALLICA with creating and
perfecting thrash metal:

"I look at my career and I know what I've accomplished. Between my career with
MEGADETH and the songs I've written and sold with METALLICA, I've sold more than
60 million records around the world. I'm currently rated as a top guitar player,
I'm really inspired and this is one of the greatest periods of my life."

On new MEGADETH guitarist Chris Broderick, formerly of JAG PANZER, who joins
journeyman bassist James Lomenzo and drummer Shawn Drover:

"The relationship with Chris is really unique because he's such an incredible
talent and, fortunately for me, he's either really humble or he's either really
unaware of how great he really is."

On his Internet radio station, Megadeth Radio, available at www.iheartradio.com:

"I'm currently going through the playlist which is about 2,000 to 3,000 songs,
and I'm adding stuff as we go along. I want the world to know that it's
bull(crap) what everybody keeps saying about me having a problem with METALLICA.
There is no problem, and to prove this, I put them on my radio show. So, we'll
see how much longer this nonsense keeps going. It'll go on forever, I imagine,
but hopefully there will be a new wave of young metal fans that go, 'You know
what? You guys that believe that (crap), you go ahead and believe it, but we're
smarter than that.'"

According to The Santiago Times, over 10,000 tickets to METALLICA's January 26,
2010 concert at Santiago, Chile's Club Hípico were sold within 12 hours after
they went on sale this past Tuesday morning (November 24) at midnight through
Ticketmaster, call centers and ticket outlets such as Falabella and Cine Hoyts.

Tickets cost from CHP$29,000 (US$60) to CHP$80,000 (US$160).

METALLICA has released details of the concert DVD that the band will issue in
Mexico on November 30th. Titled "Orgullo, Pasion y Gloria: Tres Noches En La
Ciudad de Mexico" or "Pride, Passion, and Glory: Three Nights in Mexico City",
the set was filmed in front of 155,000 over three nights at Mexico City's Foro
Sol Stadium on June 4, June 6 and June 7, 2009. According to METALLICA's web
site, the DVD/CD package contains a total of 34 songs taken from all three
shows, which each had a different set list. Blu-Ray, digipack and deluxe
slipcased editions are also available, with full track listings for each
available at the METALLICA site.

Interviews with the group in Mexico are also included.

All the credits will be in Spanish and as with the band's newly released French
concert DVD, the set will be available only in stores in Latin America and at
the METALLICA web site, beginning the week of December 7.

METALLICA plays a few more U.S. shows next month before breaking for the
holidays. The band will resume touring in early 2010 with trips to South America
and Europe.

October at Madison Square Garden in New York to benefit the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame. Our friends from HBO were there to film the entire event and have put

WDBJ7.com reports: Dan and Gil Harrington have not seen 20 year old Morgan
Harrington now for almost six weeks since she vanished after leaving a METALLICA
concert in Charlottesville October 17.

The Harringtons' son is coming to Virginia from New York City for Thanksgiving
and the family will have dinner with close family friends. A place Gil
Harrington says they always spend the holiday.

"We're always there. It'll be strange not to have Morgan home if she doesn't
make it home by Thanksgiving, but that is really our place of celebration and
marking that holiday, we'll be there," says Gil Harrington.

The family says they hope someone who knows something will come forward. Again,

METALLICA recently announced an early 2010 tour of South and Central America,
with the band visiting two cities — Panama City and San Jose, Costa Rica —
that it has never played before. The group will also hit Lima, Peru, for what
promoters are expecting to be the biggest musical event ever staged in Peruvian
history. Bassist Robert Trujillo was blown away when The Pulse of Radio told him
that. "Wow. The largest concert in Lima, Peru," he said. "I didn't know that, so
this is special. For me going down there is special anyway. The fans are always
next level. Getting down into Lima and further down into Brazil, Argentina —
we've got three shows at Argentina Riverplate Stadium — to get into that
region of the world and check out the culture down there is very exciting for
us."

The Lima show takes place on January 19, with more South American dates expected
to be announced soon.

According to El Espectador, Universal Music in Mexico has set a November 30
release date for METALLICA's "Orgullo, Pasión Y Gloria - Tres Noches En La
Ciudad De México" (Pride, Passion And Glory Three Nights In Mexico City) DVD,
recorded on June 4, 6 and 7 of this year at Foro Sol, Ciudad de México. The DVD
packaging features work of legendary rock photographer Ross Halfin (LED
ZEPPELIN, AC/DC, THE WHO, IRON MAIDEN).

To promote this launch, the first 5,000 people to buy tickets for METALLICA's

edition of the DVD.

The band played Mexico City for the first time in a decade in June, with the
group keeping the shows on its schedule despite the outbreak of swine flu that
originated in the area.

footage from the band's Canadian performances in Quebec City, Quebec (October 31

from the stage at the second Quebec City show, "I couldn't think of a better
city for METALLICA to film a DVD." The concerts were filmed by the band's
longtime friend and collaborator, famed video director Wayne Isham.

the musician.

"James Hetfield is a an unsung virtuoso. His guitar and vocal sound, along with
his song ideas, has enabled METALLICA to go from being classified alongside
MOTÖRHEAD and VENOM to being aligned with BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and U2. Much of hard
music today has been changed by his guitar tone, rhythm playing and vocal
technique, making him arguably the most influential musician of his generation.

The Pulse of Radio reports: Tuesday (November 17) marked one month since the
disappearance of METALLICA fan Morgan Harrington from outside the band's concert
in Charlottesville, Virginia. The 20-year-old Virginia Tech student vanished
after she accidentally left the venue and was unable to get back in. Although
she called her friends inside and said she'd either wait for them or find her
own way home, Harrington was not seen again. METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo
told The Pulse of Radio how he felt when he first heard about the situation. "I
mean, I was crushed," he said. "Stuff like this just really, really bums me out,
especially when you are a parent and you have children. I mean, it's the worst
thing that you could ever imagine. And of course, you know, we're all hoping for
the best and just praying that she's alive. It really hit a sour chord with us
and bummed us out."

Police have had few leads in the Harrington case, despite extensive searches by
air and on the ground. Her cell phone and purse were found in the area outside
the arena, with one report suggesting that she might have tried to use another
concertgoer's phone to make a call.

Other unconfirmed reports suggest that Harrington was last seen hitchhiking.

Harrington's parents have offered a $100,000 reward for information on her
whereabouts, with METALLICA adding another $50,000 to the total.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has gotten involved with
the search, fielding calls and taking any information about Harrington's case.
Executive director Bob Lowery told Noisecreep.com, "We're going to pursue this
case like Morgan is still alive and she's safe and we're not going to give up
until we find out otherwise."

Courteney Stuart of The Hook reports: Amid a new police report that the woman
who disappeared during the October 17 METALLICA concert was seen hitchhiking
shortly before she vanished, various witnesses in and around John Paul Jones
Arena say a young, blond woman was causing concern before they ever heard that
the 20-year-old Morgan Harrington was missing.

Among the several witnesses who reported seeing Morgan injured both inside and
outside the Arena, one METALLICA fan inside says she seemed "upset" with blood
on her chin but declined his offer to help.

WHSV.com reports: Virginia state police say Morgan Harrington may have been
hitchhiking when she was last seen on the Copeley Road bridge, after leaving a
METALLICA concert, but Morgan's mother says that would be extremely unusual
behavior for her daughter.

In a telephone interview, Gil Harrington said she had never known of her
daughter trying to catch a ride with a stranger.

Police say witnesses saw a woman fitting Harrington's description trying to get
a ride.

Morgan's parents, Dan and Gil Harrington, appeared on NBC's "Today Show"
Saturday morning to discuss the latest clues in the case and talk directly to

Morgan disappeared on October 17 during a METALLICA concert at John Paul Jones
Arena. She was last seen by eyewitnesses hitchhiking on the Copeley Road Bridge
about 9:30 that night.

According to NBC29.com, Gil Harrington stated, "None of this makes sense. It
doesn't make sense that our daughter is missing — snatched from her life,
abducted or possibly murdered."

Officials said today that Morgan Harrington, the 20-year-old missing Virginia
Tech student last seen in Charlottesville following a Metallica concert Oct. 17,
was hitchhiking on the Copeley Road bridge in Charlottesville the night she
disappeared.

Investigators are confident based on independent witness statements that
Harrington was seeking a ride with a passerby, according to a Virginia State
Police news release.

“Anyone who might remember seeing a vehicle randomly stopped in the roadway on
Copeley Road bridge that night is also asked to contact investigators,� the
release said. “Investigators are also hoping to hear from anyone who might
have loaned their cell phone to a young woman fitting Miss Harrington’s
description to make a call that night.�

Harrington has blue eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a black
miniskirt, a black T-shirt with the name of metal band Pantera across the front,
black tights, black knee-high boots and a crystal necklace.
