The Motels were a cutting edge band in the L.A. punk/new wave club scene in the late '70s to mid '80s and they had a string of hits, including "Only the Lonely," "Suddenly Last Summer," "Shame," and "Total Control" before they broke up in '87. Shift to 1998 and Martha Davis is back with a new version of the Motels and they're hotter than ever! This list was created with the intention of discussing different aspects of the Motels and Martha Davis' career (e.g., CDs, individual songs, lyrics, tv, film and radio appearances, gigs, old band members, current band members, etc.) and as a forum to disseminate new information about the band.
