News update July 14th

Hi everyone.

I have to start with a big Thank you for all of the many emails and calls saying
how much you love the album. I think the title `It's Been Too Long' says it all.
I seem to have been working on this project for years but finally it's out! I
have been amused to have received photos of it on supermarket shelves around the
UK...it sure looks good! The remastered hits sound great don't they and of
course the new songs are fabulous. What I would really appreciate is your
comments on the six new recordings please. Having worked with these songs for so
long, there comes a point where it becomes difficult to make a fair assessment
and so your thoughts would be of value. Oddly listening to the hits again, I
have a renewed love for Goodbye is Just Another Word but still struggle with
Nickel Song and Fool, neither of which have never been particular favourites of
mine. I don't think as a fan of any artist we are obliged to love every single
song which they record and I think most of you know that I have always really
disliked Sing Hallyloo and Come Softly to Me! Most of you seem to have caught
the advert and isn't it fabulous???? Its due to be shown at least for this week
and hopefully next.

Last weekend was a really good one with two fabulous shows at Dunstable and
Folkestone which we loved. The morning of ISDN broadcasts from BBC Luton went
really well and I think Paul managed to cover most of the UK. Sunday at Radio2
was excellent with so many of you emailing the show. Aled was a joy and looked
after us brilliantly. The programme can be listened to until Saturday on the BBC
playback facility on line. The group open the show with Teach the World and
return after 25 minutes with Circles and a chat and again 10 minutes prior to
the end for Halleluja. Worth a listen! I will add a `photo to the website soon.
I have updated both sites recently with both album's details. There are also
some new pictures on the gallery from Alison.

Can I clear up a subject which keeps on cropping up and has done many times over
the years:

In 1981 TNS re recorded many of their hit singles and these were issued on an
album 15 Great Hits and the purpose was of course to make available the well
known songs and to promote the line up of the group at that time. Years later
these songs passed into various hands and were no longer controlled by TNS.
These hits were released on many occasions and under various titles, generally
and mostly without the group's knowledge. Whatever images appeared on the cover
were selected by which ever label was in control at the time ( usually having
licensed the tracks for a set period) and sometimes they chose to use an image
from the early seventies depicting a line up who didn't appear on the songs.
This is unfortunate and understandably annoying for many but it has nothing to
do with TNS at all and they have no control over this matter. Hopefully this
clears this up???

So the guys and I have a bit of a break until the next concert with only a show
in Harrogate on August 22nd. This is a Warner's hotel and not a usual concert.
The shows begin again at Tamworth on September 5th and continue until New Years
Eve. I am currently finalising the dates for next year but I can confirm that
there will be an opportunity for many of you to see the guys again throughout
2010 for The Greatest Hits Tour.

Next week's 2 CD album Together Again and Anthem looks and sounds fabulous. I
received my copies at the weekend and I am delighted with it, again after 2
years work!! You will love Fairytale which now sounds much better and it really
is great to have the MPD tracks on CD.

I have been receiving emails from some of you asking questions relating to
`rumours' which are circulating regarding various ex members of TNS. I really
would prefer not to comment at this stage, just choosing to say `watch this (
and other ) space!

Speak soon

Nic

with kind regards
