Well,
Non christian groups are just mainly about entertainment. Allot of them sing
about Love, sex, and partying.
A christian Rock band sounds like a non christian group. At least these days
they can. Back when Petra first started they couldnt sound like a secular rock
group.
Christian Rock is about entertainment to. However, it is entertainment designed
to help bring sinners to christ and ment to build our relationships with Jesus.
What people need to realize is, that all music was created by God.
Secular musicians got their talents from God, however have chosen to use the
talent for the money. It is just a business for them.
But christian artists may not sell out arenas, or might not be on MTV.
But they recognize the one who gave them their talents, and use their talents to
show people to christ.
If you go to a non christian concert, you will hear the songs that you want to
here, and they will have a great song.
But you wont get an alter call and the feeling you get is different.
Your just entertained.
However, after you leave a christian concert. You feel blessed.
I listen to nonchristian music as well as christian. But christian music is
better far better.

can appreciate your question. I am also a big Fan of Kieth
Green...and his ministry. Keith put out a flyer explaining that very
thought. One of the main points I got out of it was this. He
basically asked if a knife was evil. His point was that a knife
wasn't evil but you could do evil things with it. The same can be
said about a guitar. In the bible it says with an instrument David
made the people dance but with the same instrument he made them cry.
The same can be said about Christian Rock groups. I do listen to
music other than christian.....but even that...most of it is happy or
uplifting. A christian band will most of the time be happy and
uplifting and praiseful. If they are not...what are they talking
about? Maybe how their lives were or sometimes are. I open my mouth
every day...but not every word or sentance contains the words Jesus
or God. Not every band that puts on the title Christian band is
one.....check out their ministry....how are they in there private
lives. Are they being a friend to the lost souls like say Lou gramm
from Foreignor who sang with Petra...why did he do that? Because of
a cancer battle he was having and they became friends.
Motives....and witness....that is what it comes down too...at least
for me. Al Wood....Petra Fan
