These days are dangerous. You might get confused if you are not in synch
with the Holy Spirit. We have "Christian" artists and bands that want to
be famous and live the business "frosting" but just a chosen few have the
desire to live by God's rules. Somebody said to "investigate their
private lives of these people" and I agree. I think that lifestyle is the
shell of the performances we see from these artists. For example, if we
hear PETRA's songs and see their videos, you will have an experience that
(personally) I have not found in any other Christian Rock Band ever. I
can feel the spiritual commitment and the boldness of these brothers that
continuously testify about God's glory, His supremacy and the fact that
Jesus Christ has transformed their lives forever. Even they do callings
for repentance and prayer, at least on all the concerts I have been
present.
I also think that real Christian artists should evangelize the world in
any way possible, even if that means to have their videos on MTV or VH1 or
any other. However, they must draw the line between the ministry and
business. Money, fame and power are great temptations for all of them and
we need to pray for them as well as observe their testimonies. Hey! we
need to preach the gospel and we need to hurry because we have NO TIME TO
LOOSE, HE IS READY TO TAKE US AWAY! ARE WE?
Do we want to be entertained? Do we want to be ministered? Do we want to
accomplish what Jesus commanded us to do? One thing is that we like music
and the songs but I want for the souls to be saved and reconciled with God
and I want to be ministered, that is for sure...
God bless everyone!
