The announcement of a possible new album was a misunderstanding, as
in there wasn't one planned. Panasonic in Japan wished to involve
Enya's music in an advertisement campaign specifically for the
Japanese market.
"Panasonic had sent a crew to Scotland to film some beautiful
landscape scenes for their advertising campaign and were good enough
to show us this before we gave a final answer. We talked about the
idea and we all felt that this was a suitable vehicle for the
particular piece we had in mind. We had been toying with the idea
of a song in Japanese for some time and had already taken this to
quite an advanced stage." (Enya.com)
There was no problem in being associated with Panasonic and so a
special opening for this ad campaign was made using the
song "Sumiregusa" (Wild Violet). WMJ (Japanese affiliate of Warners)
assumed a new album would follow and announced the "new album" would
have an exclusive song and gave it a catalogue number.
"None of the other affiliates knew about the news of the release
date until it had been announced by WMJ. When you realise that the
only people allowed to announce the release of any Enya album is
either ourselves or Warner Music UK you can see the upset this has
caused for everyone involved, including WMJ. However it is you, the
fans, that matter most in all of this and we sincerely apologise to
all of you." (Enya.com)
There is deep apologies for this disappointment and Enya hopes to
have our continuing loyalty and support.

Welcome! It's been rather slow here, but the group has hung around.
Please do share anything Enya, we're in need of some refreshing
here. ;)

I realized she stopped making more music for about two years now.
The time is near. I have a feeling something going on. Secret that
the world cannot foretold.
There is a new music piece (I believe it's soft rock) which sounds
like it has background music from enya. There is no actual words (in
the background), just the humming sound distinctly matches that of
an Enya piece, I can't remember which.
Anyone else notice this?
In effort to wake this group up with a large kick in
the........well, nevermind, I made Erythisis a moderator. Hopefully
we can get this to become a large group even though I did accidently
forget about it <blush>
I realized something this morning. Sorry if maybe this is well
behind you, but it was one of those random thoughts. Enya has had
the rare advantage of an artist of her genre. Few radio stations
that follow the popular and new music play classical or new age-y
music like Enya's, but her music keeps on finding its way into the
programming. You may just get done hearing some wild music and
suddenly there is Enya. It reminds that sometimes calmness suddenly
appears out of chaos.
hi if you like enya you would love this new artist by the name of
sasha lazard. her sound is opera fused with electronic beats. give
her a listen at :http://noizepollution.com/new_music.asp
I just listened to Balligomingo's new album that my friend let me
borrow. There was not one bad track on the album. This new album is
so AWESOME that I am going to go and get my own copy! Has anyone
else heard their music?
Hello!!<br><br>If you like romantic music you are
going to love Jim Brickman's new CD "Simple Things".
Brickman is constantly gaining more fans with his unique
melding of classical influences with the lively energy of
contemporary pop, and I'm one of them!! His new album "Simple
Things" is also accompanied by a book of the same name
that is a collection of short essays about savoring
life's pleasures. The entire album centers around
simpifying a life that revolves around cell phones, e-mails,
and red-eyes. Check out Jim Brickman's new album

Oh boy, been a while since i posted. I'm working
on the main section of my site right now, almost
done.....Instead of the main page it goes to the site map if you
click on the link in the index. anyone else here have
there own site?
I'm sure the lot of you are aware of Enya's new
song Only Time. They did a remix of it and it's okay,
but I like the original better. Enya has ranked no. 1
on MANY pop charts with MSNY of her songs. Some
people call her "The Queen". well. . .if ENYA'S the
queen, why is Britney Spears still singing!? Everyone is
trying to over-ride Enya's success. it's impossible!!
*sigh* some singers today. . . bye the way, is anyone
going to the Enya concert in Houston in 2.5 weeks!?
Well, My favorite will always have to be Orinoco Flow, it's the first one I
heard and it hooked me onto Enya. But otherwise, I would say Athair ar Neamh,
it's just haunting, the way she sings it.
Sorry for not posting for a while, I didn't have
access to a computer. I'm visiting my family in Alabama.
I am still working on my site, I'm almost done. I
have to do 2 pages for each gaelish song: One that has
the characters, and one that doesn't. I'll post
later.
I read at shepherdmoons.net that Enya is in deep thought about going on Concert
or not, I think That that would be very interesting, Enya on stage with some
backround vocals, etc.
