hi all, I'm back from South Korea and I managed to meet a couple of DIY people active in the Seoul scene. A report/review/interview is on the way.

* Contribution for the local vegetarian/vegan cook book - MARI MEMASAK MAKANAN TANPA HAIWAN. (if you can think of a better name for this cook book, feel free to do so.
Concerning the lack of publication for vegetarian and vegan or any subject for that matter in the local d. i.y. community, we have came out with an idea on putting together a bi-lingual (dwi bahasa) cook book that will be a compilation of recipes, articles (i.e. views, experiences, etc.), artworks or what ever material that is pertinent to the purpose of this cook book. So, if any of you out there regardless of your dietary habit, who are interested to contribute anything mentioned above (or haven't yet mentioned, that you can think of in your tiny lil' minds) are appreciatively welcome, unless if you send something really crappy, you know where it's gonna end up to. A free copy is guaranteed for contributors which contribution(s) is/are featured in this cook book. Just in case if we receive a surplus contributions, you don't have to worry as it'll be featured in the next issue. So, what are you waiting for send in all your contribution(s) now. You can do it online or through mail using the addresses below. We don't want to impose regulations, but an important guidelines must be drawn to avoid redundancies :
- If you're gonna send a handwritten
material, please make sure that it is clear and readable.
- As it is an A5 (half of A4) size/format,
so please consider of a more suitable size for any artwork sent if you
want it to be seen as it is. This is just a guideline for those who
are sending in artwork as written material can be resized.
- Please include your name and address to receive your reward and an instant glamour. You can also put your nickname along with your contribution.
- You can include your e-mail address for a quick reply regarding communication.

* stalk the dream thieves - I'm going to start a arts and literature zine (no music covered at all!!!) with some friends in subang. I'm looking to cover only art pieces, poetry, short stories and anything else along those lines. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in submitting some pieces. The first issue is due out in May so we have a April 14 deadline. The zine will be called "stalk the dream thieves." We're not sure how often we will publish or how much it will cost yet, but definitely less than RM2 and black and white for now.

DAYBREAK: Give Rocket From The Tombs a chance. Recorded in the '60s but lost in time, this punk album finally arrives as The Day The Earth Met.... Powerful songs like 30 Seconds Over Tokyo", "Sonic Reducer" and "Final Solution" as well as lost classics like "Muckraker", "So Cold" and "Amphetamine" could have matched The Stooges' Fun House or the MC5. This compilation of demos and live performances are all that's left.
note: "30 Seconds Over Tokyo" and "Final Solution" were popularised by early post-punk heroes Pere Ubu in the late 70s while "Sonic Reducer" was made an evergreen by The Dead Boys! In short, this album features original versions of those early West Coast punk classics!
