Hello peeple,

Okay, I'm here to tell you that we may have our very own radioshow very
soon. At this point it's 90% confirmed! It will be a weekly 30-minute
programme with music from the region's DIY scene (not necessarily punk
rock but everything that works without chomping on the major labels'
carrot) and also interviews with independent creative people and that
sort. This show WILL NOT feature any advertisement apart from the
station's jingle and it would NOT be on ERA, THR or whatever it is
you're listening to in your car/room nowadays. It's a brand new station
without the corporate crap.

Anyway, it'll be called as RiceCooker Radio and I've been asked to set
the day which it should be on. The time slot is 10.30 PM to 11 PM. 30
minutes max. But I'm undecided on the day. Should it be Thursday night?
Friday night? It's a choice between these two so far. It would be great
if you people can help me out on making that particular decision.

I also need suggestions, views, ideas etc on how to do this. This show
will be the community's media, and you're a part of that community so
do contribute in anyway you can.

The shows will be recorded at my house, so I'll be calling upon
bands/people to come over and have a chat soon. Bands. labels & distros
who would like to have their demos. albums, live jam, songs, poetry
etc. aired, do send the recording to me. It doesn't matter on whatever
format it is (we can use CD-Rs, CDs, vinyl, tapes or mini-discs).
There's one restriction though, I can't air "four-letter words", so if
you have it on your recordings, I'll have to "beep" it! Sorry, that's
the management's ruling. It's outta me hands!

Since we only have 30-minutes, I will be very selective of what to
play. Whatever it is, your recordings will be reviewed on the
RiceCooker website even if we don't play it. Yes, we gonna have a
website for it, complete with reviews, interviews, listings and links
to the bands/people we feature. Hopefully each one of these shows will
be downloadable (as mp3 files) after its original airing.
