I'm glad people are writing to the GLMF to protest that the Rogues won't be there. I hope it does some good. You're right Sarita, they're going to lose a lot of revenue. The Rogues WILL be coming to Oberlin, Ohio in June again for the Highland Games. We're going to go see them there. It will probably be the only place we'll get to see them this year. It was a lot of fun last year when we attended. And this year they've given the guys a tent to get them out of the scorching sun!
Even though I'm in Texas, and may not make it up that far north
to attend the faire (although I was working on it), I have good friends that
do. And they want to see the Rogues!! For some it is their only chance
all year.
We were even contemplating a mini-Gathering of Highlander fans who
are also Rogues fans from Ohio and PA and some other nearby areas,
but I guess that won't happen now. Too bad, the area will lose out on
not only revenue from the faire, but also from hotels and restaurants, etc.
You betcha, as an "Official Roguey," I'll be sending an email!
