And as for your comment about Shania not
flaunting her looks---I have only two
comments-<br>first--if you have those kinda looks, why not flaunt
them??, thank goodness that Shania feels the same.<br>and
secondly---how can you say that she doesnt flaunt them with her
selection of outfits, and for sure her videos ? Have you
seen the videos for "That Dont Impress Me Much" and
"Man, I feel like a Woman ! " ....are you still saying
those dont showcase and flaunt her looks ?? They are
only a step below a Playboy layout themselves..a small
step at that. They drip with sexuality....but my point
is this......That is GREAT!! The fact that she is
talented and intelligent and charming and can still be
incredibly sexy and attractive is great. She, and a select
other few famous women, are helping to shatter the
sterotype that if you are sexy you arent a airhead bimbo
who relies only on sex appeal and flashing her body.
She can a well rounded complete lady who just happens
to have great looks to. She can be proud of all
aspects of herself and not be scared that her fans will
think less of her for it, or not appreciate all of her
talents just because she flaunts her looks.

And dont asume that appearing in Playboy would
ever hurt a womans career. The list of talented and
smart and classy ladies who have gained appreciation
and admiration and career boosts from doing so is way
too long to name, but just most recently included
Cindy Crawford, Sharon Stone, and Katarina Witt. Thank
goodness these great woman dont share your viewpoint on
the magazine. Appearing would be a celebration of
Shanias beauty and womanhood, not a step backwords. After
all, she is the one who " feels like a woman" , and
what would make her feel more like a woman than that
??

I understand your young and naive look at the
manipulations of a smart and sassy and sexy woman, but you have
to got to realize that persona, and sex appeal drive
her career. That is why she got her teeth fixed,
decided to make sexy videos, made sure that Bo Derek and
John Derek made her first big videos and why she
decided to go against the nashville establishment and try
to become the first real sexy female country music
sensation. I am not saying that she is not incredibly
talented and a good song writer and a decent singer, but
she knows as well as anyone else that sex
sells....and she makes good use of her attributes. Posing in
Playboy would just be a continuation of the tantalizing
that has taken her this far. It certainly wouldnt hurt
her career...it would be a boost. And since you are
just now old enough to look at playboy anyway, you
must not know that "good" and "nice" girls appear in
that magazine too. It is classy, and just because you
pose in their doesnt mean you have a bad attitude or
your trampy or you dont believe in wholesomeness.
Shania would not lose the respect of anyone with
intelligence and the ability to appreciate the beauty and
class of beautiful and mature woman. She would actually
gain even more respect from men like myself.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. I think,
despite her good looks, she has helped her carrer by not
posing. Just think of all the respect she would lose. You
also say her attitude is one of the reasons you think
she has no problem with flaunting her looks. Well, I
have me her, and the belief that she has that kind of
attitude is wrong. However, it is a belief for many, so I
dont fault you. This is just my opinion and no
offence.

If she actually ever did issue such a statement,
and she has no interest in doing it, that is too bad.
I am certain it would be one of the biggest selling
issues ever. And it certainly would help her career as
she attempts to draw in more in mainstream pop and
rock fans. Considering her age and where she is right
now, it is soon or never as far as that goes.<br> And
it is obvious from her self-image, her photos, her
attitude, her videos, and the old photos from when she was
a struggling nightclub singer and model, she
certainly doesnt feel that she cant flaunt her assets.
After all, she owes a great deal of her success to her
sex appeal, so it would make sense...in the words of
one of her early videos...to " dance with the one
that brung ya".

the rumour that she was offered is true, but she turned it down. Sorry guys!

i'm not sure of the issue date, but she did
release a statement saying something like, "I don't want
to insult my fans by posing in trashy skin
magizines." I read this on the internet and also got a shania
newsletter about it in my email. she also turned down a spot
on Baywatch because they wanted her in a bathing
suit.

I was also skeptical of this rumor from the outset, but how do you know that it
is now "official" and she wont do it. Where or when was such a statement issued
by her ??

Shania posing for PLAYBOY was only a rumour, so if it is true, well ya for the
guys, if it is not oh well keep dreaming.

True there is no substantial evidence saying that
she is posing for PLAYBOY. I heard it on
Entertainment Tonight so there may be a good chance of it
happening, because if the media promoting it then obviously
there is a good shot.

about a week ago and I have nothing from anyone. I know
that the females will dislike the photo, but I have
heard nothing from the males. Let me know what you
