I'm going to be soooo late for check-out but I wanted to say hello, and let
you know what has been going on lately. I'm headed to the airport in Munich
after spending a few weeks here in Germany. I feel like I have seen every part
of this country…from Munich to Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin, Mainz, Plate (I
know!), Duesseldorf, near Lake Tegernsee and back again! I got to see so much
more than ever before, and see the little differences that make those areas
special…so cool.
My favorite part of the trip was going to this remote area up in the
mountains, doing some photos with InStyle and BMW, by this enormous lake that
looked the Caribbean. Unbelievable! The weather was amazing and we hung out in
the
sun all day. I've never seen anything like it in Germany so it was a treat.
I got a little suntan (ok, sunburn), and after that, we had some drinks and
local grub in the Beer Garden. You will see the pics for yourself in InStyle
soon enough. It was a great day.
I visited lots of radio stations and some tv shows to sing "Wasted"; and,
Radio Hamburg had me do a cover song, as well. Always up for a challenge, I
chose to sing a little CASH…that's right, Johnny Cash, "Ring of Fire". Bet
you
weren't expecting that one! ☺ Maybe this move to Nashville is beginning to
rub off on me after all. I've been trying to convince Simsi, my guitarist, to
make the trip to the States, and stop through Nashville for a little honky
tonkin'. I think he is prepared now, knowing at least one true country song.
I discovered some new music while here, too. Maria Mena, Leona Lewis and A
Fine Frenzy. I need to get their cds…
What are you listening to? I was so surprised how the music scene has
changed since I was here last. The music is much more organic and edgy than I
recall. That's cool. Organic-Edgy should be a new genre, don't you think?
I'm gonna miss my flight, better go! Off to home, sweet, home for a few
days. Yay!
BTW, they really know how to do cheese and chocolate here. All basic food
groups covered. It may be worth it to get enormously fat, and just eat all the
day long. I'm really considering it.
'Til next time, big kiss, muah~

ps, are you enjoying the record? Tell me!
