Yep...It stands a better than even chance of being
good from my perspective. Rick Rubin producing, Jimmy
wanting more layers (works good with his style), I
don't feel they are in a rush & the juxtaposition of
the 2 new guitar styles. Rick's industry experience
will be helpful in creating or capturing their sound.
I haven't heard them since Dave, Anthony and Pit left,
but I feel Rick can bring their sound to life unlike
Ethan. My only wish is that they bring back the hard
edge in a few songs. That would play into Rick's
strengths. If I could have 2 wishes, I'd throw a
little Daniel Lanois etherialness into the slower,
more acoustic stuff.
