Hey Astrid,
I'm still out here too, but check my Yahoo email about every 2 weeks. Have you
heard anything about the status of Ours III? My guess is it got shelved, but
that's just a guess.
Does anyone else know? Lori?

There will be an acoustic show at the Canal Room in the city 12 July
-- you should definitely go if you can make it! $15, 8p, 21+....
actually, depending on how things go, I may end up with an extra
ticket (it's actually looking more and more like that's going to be
what ends up happening).
You missed two awesome Maxwell shows, but if you had to miss them,
Chicago was a fantastic reason. : )

I'm up in NJ near the city, but have not had much time
to check into their schedule. I know Jimmy, Static
and Zoe were playing earlier this month up here, but I
think I missed those dates when I flew to Chicago for
the weekend.
Anybody know what's happening? I've got my camera and
time this week!

I know at least ONE person in this group has seen Ours recently. Am I
the only one left alive? Just cause the band's new album isn't out
yet doesn't mean messages aren't allowed to be posted. Just a thought.
Thanks!!

Awesome Karl...2 friends of mine were also at that show.
To "Glenn Brown"...here is some info that I found on killtheband.com
and the ezboard regarding the new album:
ezboard:

Just a small update. Tracks pretty-much confirmed for the album
include: I Ran Away to Tell the World, Lost, Live Again, Saint Down
the Hall, Get Up, God Only Wants You, Worst Things Beautiful,
Murder, and Mercy. It should be a pretty rockin' album. Other tracks
that may be on the album are: Mechanical Lovers.
disclaimer: the band could change their mind at any time about any
of these tracks
The record has not been turned in yet
killtheband:
Ours In The Studio
The band has completed the recording of it's third album! Only the
mixing process remains and it will be completed in the Fall. The
album was produced by legendary beardster Rick Rubin and recorded at
his supposedly haunted mansion in the hills of Laurel Canyon.
Drummer Michael Jerome (PleasureClub/Course of Empire) has assisted
the band in recording most of the drums for the album. The still-
untitled album will consist of 10-12 tracks. Many of the new songs
played at recent shows will undoubtedly make the album. The album's
expected release date will be sometime in early 2006.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Armed with the dream of a moody collection of songs sung
by his favourite artists, Windsor native Daniel Victor approached
people with cold calls and backstage maneuvering until he
had a fistful of lead singers willing to follow his dream to a reality.
"The idea was to put artists from popular bands in a completely
different setting than they were with their own bands," Victor told
Chart Magazine last month.
The result is the unpredictable and haunting debut album Act I:
Goodbye Friends of the Heavenly Bodies by the project Victor
has dubbed Neverending White Lights. Released across Canada
on September 27th by Maple Music, the album took four years of
sweat and toil, coaxing and cajoling, with recording sessions in
Scotland, Sweden, Malibu, Vancouver and Victor's own studio in
Windsor. At a time when disposable, canned rock tops the charts,
NWL is enjoying airplay alongside the predictable on stations like
FM96 in London, ON, with the track "The Grace," featuring Alexisonfire's
Dallas Green on lead vocals. Daniel Victor penned all of the songs
on the album, but sought singers as diverse as Nick Hexum of 311,
Sharky Laguana of Creeper Lagoon, Scott Anderson of Finger Eleven,
Chris Gray of The Black Marias, Raine Maida of Our Lady Peace and
Jimmy Gnecco of Ours to interpret the words in their own way. An
innovative and unique concept, the album harks back to a more
experimental era when Bowie dared to collaborate with Eno or the
4AD label in England married players from its myriad bands on three
stellar This Mortal Coil albums.
On tour this month, Neverending White Lights brings in some of its
special guests for three shows in Ontario:

with Jimmy Gnecco of Ours

Saturday, Nov. 26th at the El Mocambo
