someone in this site wanted to know how we knew Jeff was attracted
to younger women.

She also wanted to know how some of us had met him. Answers are as
follows:

Quite a few of us lived in Seattle at one time or another. One or
two of us graduated from UW with his long-time girlfriend in 2000
(although she was not a 'normal' student, i.e. 21/22, but she was
considerably younger than he).

Thus, since we lived in Seattle, we saw him frequently. Some of us
actually worked in places he frequented.

As to the second comment, about music being extricated from personal
lives, there is, of course, a considerable amount of material drawn
from Jeff's personal life, as there is from ANY artist's life, when
creating something of artistic value. The personal life sometimes
aids and abetts us in delivering the full value and meaning of the
artist's work. Therefore, while we did not advocate infiltration of
his personal space, we had shared information that we had so that
others might understand why, for example, Jeff wrote the lyrics
to "Pilate" or the more introspective material from "The Quiet
Table".
