N'Taya come to New York City for their FIRST TIME EVER on Friday, July 10th for S.O.B.s' Afterwork Friday’s. Representing the newest generation of Latin music, this hardcore Timba band makes an extraordinarily danceable sound. This Miami band makes music that’s as fun to listen to as it is to dance to. 

 

Headed by Cuban friends and musicians Nicolas Martinez, the vocalist, and pianist Pepe Montes, this tight knit group is renewing the Timba sound. Nicolas’ original take on the vocals occasionally verge on rapping. His street-style Timba seems to just slide over N’Taya’s fresh take on Latin beats.

 

Just off the release of their 2009 album “Y Ya Llego,” N’Taya has an energy that cannot be contained. A single from their new album “Caramelito” is already bringing N’Taya international attention. Their buzz continues to build as they collaborate with well respected artists such as Michel Calvo, Br@ily, Bayron Ramos, Tomas Cruz (Cuban Timba AllStars), and Ekilatero.

 

N’Taya appeals to fans of Latin, Rap, Reggaeton, Timba as they use the best of each of those genres. Their own explosive dance moves are sure to not only entertain but to bring everyone to the dance floor. Be sure not to miss these young musical masters at S.O.B.’s.
