For the record, Morrissey only met Sanctuary twice - and that was a
year ago. They made a financial offer which just wasn't enough to
keep things afloat - and was certainly not even remotely in the
region of 5 million pounds.

Morrissey was not approached by any other label in 2002, and has
received no offers since the end of the tour. And, as of my
conversation with Morrissey 30 minutes ago, things remain this way.

We'd like to thank everyone who came to see us on the tour - it was
the best tour of our lives. We had hoped to begin on the East coast
by February, but, it just isn't coming together. We have been offered
some UK festivals for the summer which we'd like to do.

So, please, ignore all the Sanctuary rumours. When a deal is
signed ........ we'll let you know... but only if ..... you're really
interested.
