I'm glad someone finally responded to my post.
First of all, I'd like to say that I never said Tracy was hypocritical. I
merely posed the question as something to think about and perhaps comment on. I
agree that, sadly, the way to get your music and message out to the masses is
by signing with a corporate record label, and I don't blame her for doing
this. I just wonder how she feels about the company she works for being run by
greedy bastards (which I believe all the big record labels are).
Also, I NEVER implied that Tracy wasn't earning an honest living. The greedy
people I'm talking about are the record labels. I believe Tracy is a humane,
compassionate, thoughtful, intelligent person and I respect her a lot.
So I think it takes more than "common sense" to answer my original question,
and I'd like to hear some other people's opinions on this. Why is this list
so dead?
