Welcome, Drew.
This listserv has generally been moribund this last year (or maybe
more), so I don't know what kind of response you'll get. I'm still
here anyway. I sing sean nos songs and other traditional Irish songs
and am working on learning the Irish language with some others here
in Portland, Oregon.
I did find out on this listserv about the U of Wisc Milwaukee's
Celtic Studies Department's Sean Nos Festival two weekends ago and,
on a last minute whim, attended. What a wonderful time being with
dedicated and skillful sean nos singers and participating in classes
and sessions with other like-minded people from all over USA and
Canada and Ireland, too. What a wonderful time--almost like being in
Ireland.
Welcome again.
Cheers,
David
