The Céilí of the Valley presents Irish dancing in July. For
the entire month of July there will be a Céilí dance every Tuesday night at the
VFW Hall, 630 Hood Street NE. Céilí is the Gaelic word for an evening of music,
dance, friends and fun. All ages are welcome and no experience is needed.
Each Tuesday night the Céilí of the Valley society would
like to invite everybody to join them for 2 hours of folk dancing. Irish Céilí
dance is similar to a contra or square dance. Portland based dancer Maldon
Meehan will be teaching and calling all night long. Accordion player Joe Root
will provide live music.
