Hi Esther,
It does seem that you are the main user these days. I just found out
about this site the other day and it's something I might log onto
once a month or so just to see what's been posted. But, frankly, I
hate having to fight through all the commercials to get to the
messages.
I don't know the song you're asking about but I'll bet dozens of
Mudcatters will. And you will get an answer within several hours,
most likely--not several weeks. What I'm referring to is the Mudcat
Discussion Forum <www.mudcat.org>, devoted to folk music. It's a
site rich in numbers of contributors, depth of knowledge, breadth of
experience, and lots of simply good people. There are at least
several dozen contributors who are very knowledgeable about sean nos
and quite willing to share their knowledge.
Before you post your question, check the archives. There might
already be a thread or two on the song. (And because there are
thousands of threads, starting a new one unnecessarily is frowned on.)
AND THERE ARE NO--NO--NO COMMERCIALS!!!!!!!!
Do search Mudcat, Esther, and post your question if you don't find
the answer in your search.
Looking forward to seeing you on Mudcat!
