Harmony,

I once observed a very poignant Celtic ceremony at Findhorn in Scotland - the
pioneering and long standing Eco-town full of spiritual people.

You can google them...

Ask for Peter Vallance.

       Dear friends,

I am looking for chants/songs to the Celtic deities, particularly the Celtic
goddesses, to use in a ceremonial context, and was wondering if anybody on here
would be able to direct me to any useful resources, or anybody who might be able
to help me?

Thanks!

Harmony

Calling all musicians! and their freinds

Hi folks.

Just to let you know Im busy at the moment organising and planning for the
tribal voices spring musicians gathering 2011,

we are looking for top acts for the saturday benefit caberet, which may also
have a headline act (several have already expressed an interest,) the venue is a
stately house hotel, with plenty of b-and-b accommadation, and cheap camping
but we have a very small field reserved just for tribal voices home hearth, for
music late into the night

we have an intent that people do not have to book an expencive weekend festival
type of ticket, can come and camp with us for just 6 a night and play or attend
the benefit gigs (the only way we have to fund any expences on the event)
tickets pay on the door, but we also that we might end up more busy than
anticipated, we advise pre booking for all campers, expecially for mobile home
owners or if a booked room or indoor dormitory "camping" is needed. some weekend
tickets may get printed later!

we also have an option on the bank holiday monday night and would welcome a
"right on" "crew" to put forward a proposal of a final night party gig, several
major players have already been asked, the first to send us a resounding yes
gets the gig!

its 6 months to go so there is a lot of tbc, but looking forwards to seeing your
there.

please join our facebook event group and dont forget to invite your muso mates
and entourage.

Chilling and planning.

Press Release
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
For time eternal conversation has been the footnote of modern man.
It's really where it all began, without it we can't survive, we
couldn't live. Without that most basic of needs we would quickly go
insane. Human nature dictates the need to converse, we are a social
animal. Now that most ancient of human traits is being expanded beyond
all recognition. Today we are pleased to be able to take our
conversational experience to another level. Taking something that we
all do, in our own homes to another level completely. Now we ask you
to join in our global chat from around our table.

Around The Table.TV is a global test bed of future communications.
Neither distance, gender nor persuasion is a barrier. You are
cordially invited to join us in what we hope will be the biggest
social experiment since the invention of the Internet. Global chat
around our virtual table. Each of your ideas, thoughts & perspectives
is a "drop" that makes our "ocean of conversation". No rules except common
courtesy, no barriers except your own imagination. All are welcome to
join in this ground breaking seminar of global interactive discussion.
We aim to make it as easy to participate as a conversation should be.
No registration, no conformation, no delay. You can tweet, Facebook,
text or call, anyone with an Internet connection can attend. You can
even come along in person. All are welcome in our global living room.
Around The Table.TV is just what it pronounces to be. A fully televised
discussion from around a beautiful table. Broadcast live across the
Internet, no cuts, no retakes, just as conversation should be. Bring
your opinions, bring a sleeping bag & stay over. We are bringing chat
from http://www.aroundthetable.tv to your home, to your office, wherever you may
be, whatever you may be doing, all are welcome.

The Format
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
The Table will be situated in the centre of the floor surrounded by
"the audience", there will be chairs at the table which will be
occupied by whoever wants to be there.

There will be a pot in which we can put our suggestions subjects for
discussion at the table. Every 30 minutes, one new subject will be
randomly selected.

Each person at the table can discuss the subject for 60 seconds then
allow someone else to take it up if anyone wants to. At the end of 30
minutes a 5 minute summing up of the discussion will take place, then
a new subject will be selected.

If our table is full and someone wishes to participate, we will request a
volunteer to surrender their seat if no one wishes to do so we will draw
straws.

We would like to create the feeling of your home and invite you to
bring snacks, food, etc to share - there will be soup, a bottomless coffee pot
and teapot.

This is the third of a series of experimental events in this genre and
it will be videoed and broadcast live over the Internet. The video will
also be edited down and distilled into capsules to be shown on the
Internet at a later date.

Those who are watching on the web will be able to interact with the
discussions through social media streams on the website
http://www.aroundthetable.tv
and Twitter which will be projected on a large screen
in the venue, these contributions will be fed into the ongoing
discussions and back out through the web cast, maximising the potential synergy
of the event.
http://www.twitter.com/aroundtabletv - follow us
and interact with the discussion using @Aroundtabletv

We are also encouraging people to host and video similar events in
their home town and upload them to Youtube which we will embed on the
http://www.aroundthetable.tv/ website

Dear Friends,

Today, Iran could execute Sakineh Ashtiani.

Our global outcry stopped her unjust stoning sentence in July. Now we have 24
hours to save her life.

Iran's allies and key UN powers are our best hope -- they could persuade Iran of
the serious political cost of this high-profile killing. Click here to send them
an urgent call to action and send this to everyone -- it only takes three
minutes and we are her last chance:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/24h_to_save_sakineh/97.php?cl_tta_sign=88098c04f1479dfc7\
dc483e91b7b4d32

Sakineh's adultery case is a tragic sham stacked with human rights violations.
First, she was to be stoned to death. But the Iranian government had to revoke
the sentence after her children generated a tremendous outcry against the
farcical trial -- she could not speak the language used in court, and the
alleged incidents of adultery took place after her husband's death.

Then her lawyer was forced into exile, and the prosecution conjured up a new
trumped-up charge for which she would be executed -- the murder of her husband.
Despite this being double jeoprady, as she is already serving time for alleged
complicity in this crime, Sakineh was tortured and paraded on national
television to 'confess', and was found guilty. The regime has now arrested two
German journalists, her lawyer and her son, who has bravely led the
international campaign to save his mother. All remain in prison and Sakineh's
son and lawyer have been also tortured and have no access to lawyers.

Now Iranian human rights activists state an order has just been issued from
Tehran to implement her killing immediately, she is on the list and tomorrow is
execution day.

Persistent campaigning led Iran to drop Sakineh's stoning sentence and captured
the attention of leaders in countries with influence on Iran, like Turkey and
Brazil. Now let's urgently raise our voices to stop her killing and inhumane
treatment and free her, her lawyer, her son and the jailed German journalists.

dc483e91b7b4d32

A massive public outcry has the moral authority to stop heinous crimes. Let's
use these 24 hours to send a clear message -- the world is watching and we all
stand together today to save Sakineh's life and against injustice everywhere.

With hope and determination,

Alice, Stephanie, Pascal, Giulia, Benjamin and the whole of the Avaaz team

a gig but if tribal voices wanted to, or maybe one or two other bands we could
go for it, theoretically (if we got a venue) who would be up for it.

Dear Sirs
We are currently looking for gigs for this coming summer for the original
smirkins duo, we play a lively upbeat twist on english folk dance music.
We having been playing festivals now for a few years, including the mandala
stage green fields at Glastonbury festival and the orbit stage at moseley folk
festival, we are currently a duo plus friends when the occasion suits, its music
that gets the whole tent up and dancing,
We would love to play at bath fringe if you can find an occasion to fit us in.

There's a crunch vote in Parliament on Wednesday. MPs will vote on a motion

This Wednesday there is a crunch vote in Parliament. MPs will vote on a motion
demanding a rethink of plans to sell our national forests.

If enough of us contact our MPs now, we've got a real chance of winning this
vote! So let’s make sure MPs are getting thousands of messages with one very
clear request: vote to save our forests this Wednesday.

It's quick and easy to email your MP, click here to send them a message:
http://www.38degrees.org.uk/tell-your-mp-to-save-our-forests

This vote was announced on Friday - it's only happening thanks to everything we
have done together to stand up for our public forests. The motion itself says
that, "over 225,000 people have signed a petition against such a sell-off"! [1]
It's even more proof that our campaign is working and that if we keep going we
can win.

On Wednesday morning, MPs will open up newspapers to find full-page Save our
Forests adverts – paid for by thousands of us. Let’s back this powerful
message
in the media with an avalanche of emails to MPs from local voters urging them to
do the right thing.

We’re close, and together, we can win this. Please take a moment to email your
MP now:
http://www.38degrees.org.uk/tell-your-mp-to-save-our-forests

Since 38 Degrees members voted to start campaigning to save our forests in
November, we've had a huge impact. We've sounded the alarm and spread the word.
We've made the headlines and we've made politicians nervous. We are proving that
people power works!

Now let's work together again to make sure each and every MP hears from hundreds
of us:
http://www.38degrees.org.uk/tell-your-mp-to-save-our-forests

Thanks for getting involved,

David, Hannah, Johnny and the 38 Degrees team

PS. It's easy to contact your MP through the 38 Degrees website. Simply enter
your postcode and your MP’s details come up! We’ve even got text ready for
you
to send, or you can put your message in your own words:
http://www.38degrees.org.uk/tell-your-mp-to-save-our-forests

----
Notes
[1] Over 330,000 of us have signed the petition so far.

The bigger we are the more we can do. Please forward this email to your friends
and ask them to get involved.

38 Degrees brings you together with over 250,000 people to take action on the

Don't miss this vital opportunity - Deadline 28th February!
-----------------------------------------------------------

The Government really has been very busy recently. At the same time it announced
its consultation for 'a new approach' to the care of England's Public Forest
Estate, it is also

consulting on proposed changes in planning policy under its Localism agenda.
These proposals are intrinsically linked, posing further risk to England's
vulnerable woods.

We need your support in saving existing ancient woodland protection
http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/planningchanges

We have said that sale of any Forestry Commission-owned site without a radical
overhaul of current safeguards would spell disaster, particularly for England's
oldest and most vulnerable woods.

In streamlining the planning system, the one element of planning policy which
specifically protects ancient woods and trees could disappear. This is the
wrong kind of

radical overhaul! We hardly need national planning policy to be weakened.

Your chance to influence these proposals ends on 28th February.

Take action now!
http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/planningchanges

We can't miss this vital opportunity to stop the rot in existing woodland
protection measures. We must retain and strengthen the special policy which
specifically exists to safeguard our precious heritage.

Thank you for your support.

Bulletin from the cause: Medicinal Herbs Will Disappear in EU and we are the
only ones who can stop this Go to Cause

New UK Ruling - Don't be fooled!
The UK has decided that TCM and general herbalists may still sell us medicinal
herbs that are not approved via the THMPD process - and that is good news. It is
not, however, enough.

It does not include Scotland and Northern Ireland. It does not include
Ayurvedic, Korean, traditional native American, or any other herbal system. It
also does not allow medicinal herbs that have always been available to the
public to be sold in shops.

So, herbal systems that many people require for their health will still be
unavailable. To access most herbs, you must go to a practitioner certified by
the English government - and pay for the privilege. (That you've always been
able to do, but now you'll be required to do it.) That will keep medicinal herbs
out of the hands of many people who won't be able to afford the costs, but are
willing to do the research themselves.

This petition is as valid now as it was two days ago before the UK decided to
allow herbalists and TCM practitioners to prescribe herbs. We are still being
reduced to the level of children, with the presumption that we don't have the
ability to make our own health decisions. Don't be fooled by this ruling. It's
designed to keep most herbalists from caring about THMPD - and it isn't anywhere
near enough!

And keep in mind that we must be having an effect. The government knows we're
unhappy about this, so they've thrown us a bone. I, for one, don't like being
treated as a child. I doubt you do, either.

So, please, continue to invite friends and acquaintances to sign the petition:

the only way to deal with this is to make yer own remedies, step away
from consumer healing, and then challenge this legisaltion under Common
Law - cause no harm, cause no loss...

This legislation causes loss of access to natural herbal emedies, and
will cause harm both to people who cannot avail of those natural
remedies and to the biodiversity, as these plants will be technically
illegal..

Feck 'em. They're idiots...

and sign whatever petitions.... it all helps.....

Hi in my job i work in connection with south glos dog wardens, these dogs are
reported to us if roaming around lost, if they are not claimed in 7 days then
they go the dog warden kennels. unfortunaly the kennels are now overflowing and
two dogs will have to be put down. shock horror i hear you gasp, yes i hate the
thought of this also, the thought of any animal being put down because of not
finding a loving home is just awful.

One of them is called Santa due to being found boxing day, he is a gorgeous
staffy cross, he is white and has longer legs than normal and has that wonderful
friendly staffy face,

The other is a fab jack russel/staffy mix. i havnt seen his pic and he is named
Noel as found just a few days later,

pls pls if anyone can home them then phone the helpdesk at south glos council on

Legal challenge to the new nuclear builds
Posted by: "South West Against Nuclear" swanactive@...
Tue Apr 12, 2011 1:14 pm (PDT)

*Justification: Application for a Judicial Review against the Government’s
plans
for more nuclear reactors*
*
*As you may know, Rory Walker has lodged an application for a Judicial
Review against the government’s plans to build more nuclear power stations.

A press release from Rory's solicitors has already been issued, see:
http://www.irwinmit chell.com/ search/pages/ NewsViewer. aspx?item= 4516

A procedural hearing will be held in May in Leeds to decide whether the
application will proceed to a full judicial hearing on its merits.

Though he has been granted legal aid, the Legal Services Commission, which
administers legal aid, has made a requirement that a contribution of £16,250
should be made by other citizens who would benefit from his application if it
were successful. It is not unusual for a contribution to be required in these
circumstances but the amount is unusual in the experience of Rory’s
solicitors.
They are still arguing against this somewhat arbitrary demand, but it’s
becoming
apparent that a large sum will need to be met. If the contribution cannot be
found, Rory will lose his legal aid and with
it, the protection that legal aid gives against paying costs if the case is
lost. It is therefore vital to find this money.

Rory's fighting fund has already received pledges for over £4,000 and in order
to keep this challenge alive, and with a chance of success, we need people to
make whatever contribution you can, no matter how large or small, to help with
this case. Please send your donations - made payable to the Heysham Anti Nuclear
Alliance - as soon as possible to
Rory Walker
15 De Vitre Street
Lancaster LA1 1QU

Or you can send a donation direct to the Heysham Anti Nuclear Alliance
(HANA) bank account, as follows

Account name: Heysham Anti Nuclear Alliance
Account reference: 616 322 406
Account number: 10091267
Sort code: 16-12-27

Donors, who wish it, will be sent a copy of the Application for Judicial Review.

With £4000 raised already we only need to find another £12,250 this means:
12,250 people donating just a £1 or
6,125 people donating just a £2 or
4,900 people donating just a £2.50 or
just 2,450 people to donate a £5er! (if your feeling flush)

Please only say that you are attending if you will definitely pledge or donate.
Please post on the wall to say what your pledge/donation will be so that we can
keep tabs on how much is being raised.

PLEASE PASS THIS INFO TO ANYONE WHO YOU THINK MIGHT CONTRIBUTE TO THE
JUSTIFICATION JR APPEA

Subject: Fw: 12 Hours to Stop Uganda's Gay Death Penalty

Wow! 700,000 have signed already. We have just 12 hours before the bill is
brought to the floor -- let's get to 1 million. Sign now and forward the email
below!

Dear friends,

In 12 hours, Uganda could pass a law that imposes the death penalty for
homosexuality. An international outcry shelved this bill last year -- we
urgently need to ramp up the pressure to press President Museveni to stand up
for human rights and stop this brutal law. Sign below, and tell everyone:

In 12 hours, the Ugandan Parliament may vote on a brutal new law that carries
the death penalty for homosexuality. Thousands of Ugandans could face execution
-- just for being gay.

We've helped stop this bill before, and we can do it again. After a massive
global outcry last year, Ugandan President Museveni blocked the bill's progress.
But political unrest is mounting in Uganda, and religious extremists in
Parliament are hoping confusion and violence in the streets will distract the
international community from a second push to pass this hate-filled law. We can
show them that the world is still watching. If we block the vote for two more
days until Parliament closes, the bill will expire forever.

We have no time to lose. Almost half a million of us have already joined the
call -- let’s get to one million voices against Uganda's gay death penalty in
the next 12 hours -- click here to take action, then forward this email to
everyone:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/uganda_stop_homophobia_petition/?vl

Being gay in Uganda is already dangerous and terrifying. They are regularly
harassed and beaten, and just months ago, gay rights activist, David Kato
(pictured above), was brutally murdered in his own home. Now LGBT Ugandans are
threatened by this draconian law which imposes life imprisonment for people
convicted of same-sex relations and the death penalty for “serial
offenders”.
Even NGOs working to prevent the spread of HIV can be imprisoned for
“promoting
homosexuality” under this hate-filled law.

Right now, Uganda is in political turmoil -- in the wake of the Arab spring,
people across the country are taking to the streets, protesting high food and
gas prices. President Museveni has responded by violently cracking down on the
opposition. This upheaval has provided religious extremists in Parliament the
perfect chance to slip in the shelved anti-gay bill just days before Parliament
closes and all proposed laws are wiped from the books.

President Museveni backed away from this bill last year after international
pressure threatened Uganda's aid and support. With violent protests sweeping the
streets, his government is more vulnerable than ever. Let's build a million
strong petition to stop the gay death penalty bill again and save lives. We only
have 12 hours -- sign below, then tell friends and family:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/uganda_stop_homophobia_petition/?vl

Earlier this year, we stood in solidarity with Uganda's equality movement to
show that every human life, no matter what creed, nationality or sexual
orientation, is equally precious. Our international petition condemning the gay
death penalty law was delivered to Parliament – spurring a global news story
and
enough pressure to block the bill for months. When a tabloid newspaper published
100 names, pictures and addresses, of suspected gays and those identified were
threatened, Avaaz supported a legal case against the paper and we won! Together
we have stood up, time and time again, for Uganda’s gay community -- now they
need us more than ever.

With hope and determination,

Emma, Iain, Alice, Morgan, Brianna and the rest of the Avaaz team

"OFFICIAL" INVITATION TO THE IST INTERGALACTIC RAINBOW GATHERING-CHILE-2014-

AN OPEN INVITATION:

TO THE IST INTERGALACTIC RAINBOW GATHERING OF LIGHT BEINGS; DECEMBER 2014,
ATACAMA DESERT, NORTHERN CHILE,SOUTH AMERICA.

"WE ARE ONE WITHIN THE ONE!"

"as for the likeness of the living creatures ,their appearance was like burning
coals of fire, like the appearance of torches going back and forth,in appearance
like a flash of lightning"
...Ezekiel 1:13-14

"THE RAINBOW REVOLUTION IS COMING -THE FUTURE IS OURS!"

1.Are we alone? Since the dawn of time we have being asking this
question-searching the heavens and the holy scriptures and the shamans for some
answers..we have mapped the galaxies and named the stars...is there any life out
there? is there life on Mars?- or in the Goldilocks regions?...the
Pleiades-Andromeda-Alpha Centauri?...are we ALONE?...ITS TIME TO FIND OUT...BUT
HOW? Are there OTHER worlds-life forms-dimensions-parallel universes?...

2." When the Earth is sick and dying there will come a new tribe of peoples from
all nations who by their words and deeds shall bring healing to this
planet...and they shall be called the warriors of the rainbow!"

3..AND this tribe will be called warriors of the rainbow- or enlightened golden
beings travelling through time and space like flashes of lightning creating
pyramids of power-energy- communication...Long long ago this Star-world visited
our planet according to many Hopi legends and gifted us with maize or rainbow
corn...but there is much evidence of a visitation on this planet around 5000
years ago...we have the Aztec and Mayan pyramids-the giza pyramids...and much
other unexplained technology that was way ahead of its time and which
mysteriously today has disappeared...Are there enough people on this planet to
make contact ?who can be brought together to link up with these star seed
generations...

4.We,therefore as the rainbow family of living light do hereby invite all light
beings of this intergalactic consciousness to manifest a community of the
enlightened-"AN ECLECTICA"" on Earth -as it already is in heaven...in Chile in
2014... in the spirit of universal understanding...here...on planet EARTH!...
We, the citizens of Earths Rainbow family of living light call upon all beings
throughout the milky way and beyond to gather together in northern Chile in
December 2014 near ALMA,South America for the worlds first INTERGALACTIC RAINBOW
GATHERING IN DECEMBER 2014.This time and place will be confirmed at the next
WORLD RAINBOW GATHERING IN THE VISION COUNCIL. We invite all colors of the
spectrum to explore the final frontier.

5.We welcome every celestial and terrestrial light to resonate in harmony for
one
month or more in this greatest of adventures; this greatest of gatherings!...
We want to create a space on Earth for a universal celebration of
love-light-peace
and joy. We welcome all beings of light to share their knowledge -their
stories-their wisdom- vibrations and visions...and of course their HOPE in this
sacred place ( just south of the Nazca drawings in southern Peru)So bring your
truth...
...ITS STORED UP INSIDE OF YOU...NOW IS THE TIME TO DOWNLOAD THIS
CONSCIOUSNESS...YOU HAVE THE SEEDS...ITS ALL BURIED WITHIN...NOW IS THE TIME TO
UNCHAIN THE HEARTS ...NOW IS THE TIME TO UNCHAIN OUR MINDS...THIS ARE WORDS THEY
HAVE TO BE USHERED...THE FLAME OF TRUTH BURNS WITHIN YOU...

6.We are ready for the rainbow revolution-here in our hearts..we are ready to
learn to love - to listen-to forgive-to unlearn....we invite all illuminated
beings in the universe in good faith ...in this great interplanetary symphony of
hearts...help us to reconnect with our lost relations in the stars and
beyond......our ancestors and all living beings everywhere in all dimensions ...

7.By our prayers - thoughts dreams...we invite you all to come to our beautiful
blue planet...we hail you all- welcome you all to our glorious -magnificent
nature-our rivers -seas-oceans...and
waterfalls...mountains...hills...deserts...jungles...forests...flowers
...animals...birds... and we synchronize our frequencies with the GREAT SPIRIT
and welcome you with our open channels of light...power...and love...

- come in peace to our little Earth- help us grow in Oneness with patience and
perseverance in this Golden age of Enlightenment...welcome home
friends...WELCOME ALL YOU ANGELS!

8.We invite you all to our First Intergalactic Rainbow Gathering of Enlightened
Beings (I.R.G.E.B./IRGEB)-WELCOME TO EARTH!....
WELCOME TO OUR ECLECTICA!...SHAL-OM...!!!

                                         INTERSTELLAR!
