Merian in perspective, he was the lead trumpeter in the Burt Parks Orchestra.
The conductor was Skitch Henderson, Second Trumpeter was Doc Severenson, Third
Trumpeter was Clark Terry. This evolved into the Tonight Show Band.
The library has parts for:
4 Trumpets, 3 Trombones, 2 Alto Sax, 1 Tenor Sax, 1 Baritone Sax, 1 Piano &
Guitar Book, 1 Drum and 1 Bass.
86 of the charts are originals that were put together for Leon and his band. A
number of the charts were recorded on Decca and other labels. Charts from a
career that spans most of the Swing Era until today! A library so hot that the
band has been held over for nearly a year!
