Dear David,

We recently had our 2nd trombone player return to
Hawaii. We think we found a replacement but as yet we
are to have a practice with him. I have a number of
our charts with a publisher called Brassworks4 out on
New Mexico. We do a lot of standards, show tunes, and
fun stuff. In the quartet I play a Bach 50 B that
I've had since the early 70's. A very nice horn
indeed.

In the Phil I was playing Bass but lately I've played
2nd or 1st using a Bach 36 BO that I purchased
recently.

I usually play that horn each Sunday at church as
well.

They do require brass players for the Phil on
occasion. Usually they fly in a trumpet or a horn. I
think the deal is a free ticket here, place to stay,
and probably some meals. Air fare to hear is out of
this world! I think per mile it is one of the most
expensive routes in the world.

How about you? What horns do you play? Groups etc.?
