Re: [tubefex] Re: FCB 1010 and Tubefex; Working out the kinks - Let's start the CHATTERBOX :)

LOL... I am new to the Tube Fex  and so far I love it (one for live work the other for studio). I am in the process of building a very simple but versatile live rig. Currently, I'm using the following:

Tube Fex v2.0 w/ PFC-10
Classic 50/50 Power Amp
Furman M8 line conditioner
Cabinet: Still to be determined any suggestions? I hear Mills Acoustics makes a great cabinet. Anyone have any experience with those? There a new company I think.

Hahahaha .... "Maybe we can start some CHATTER"

Lol Kid, no pun intended I'm sure ;)

I also love my Tubefex, I have a 2.0 with EH Valves and a fried 1.2
that I need to get repaired. I have been using the Tubefex since
1996, and I have yet to find something to beat it for playing live. I
play in a classic rock cover band (Led Zep, G'n'R, ACDC, Black
Sabbath, Metallica, etc.) here in South Africa, doing Biker Rallies
and Parties.

To start off the chatter, I would like to hear from you ppl what rigs
you play through. Here's mine:

PRS CE24, Epiphone ZW Les Paul (EMG 81/85)
Dunlop Crybaby
Tubefex w/ PFC 10 & Yamaha CV Controller
Marshall 1972 JMP 100W Super Lead
Marshall 1972 4x12 Straight Cab (25W Celestion Greenbacks)

I've tried all the modelling pedals and "token" valve pedals, I just
don't get close. Tubefex ----> JMP is my secret weapon, coz I get
amazing warmth and crunch (Crunch channel flat out is the roxxor) and
still get awesome modern sounds (Ultra channel).

Chrz,

Pete

thorough job of controlling the TubeFex though. I may need one in the
near future.

much any more. Maybe we can start some chatter. I love my tubefex. I
have two of them. One is version 2.0 refurbed and upgraded at Peavey.
The other is a version 1.2 that I plan to have Peavey
refurbish/upgrade as well. These units are great.
