SOUTH BY DUE EAST is a guerrilla marketing project, begun by Marlo Blue & Sirius Hippies Productions, and held in Houston and Austin at SXSW time, to promote independant Texas music and the music and art scene in Houston, Texas, USA, as well as promoting individual projects of it's participants. At each year's fest, a film is made to document, show, and promote all of the performers and the art they make.

This year, SOUTH BY DUE EAST will be held at Dan Electro's Guitar Bar on March 19-20 from 2-10pm

The atmosphere at SOUTH BY DUE EAST is one of community. There is no cover charge. Donations towards the movie expenses are appreciated, and all are encouraged to purchase CD & DVD compilations from previous festivals and product from all of the artists.
