Just got back from KPFT, where MArlo was the guest host on the LIVING ARTS program. At the behest of, and with the help of producer Mike McGuire, MArlo did great as an MC, and we met and heard a great group called TWO STAR SYMPHONY, four women who make cool original music which they perform as a string quartet. They promised to play next year's SOUTH BY DUE EAST, but I'm sure we'll hear more from them sooner than that!

Tonight's Hippies.TV show will be the first from this year's SOUTH BY DUE EAST. Subtitled 'Vox Experiensis', this episode features Sandy Hickey & The Soul Providers, Jimmy Deen, Fahl & Folk, Congas By Carlos and Gus Buzbee.

On Saturday night, Guy Schwartz & The New Jack Hippies will perform at BOJANGLES in Seabrook (on NASA Road 1 - almost to Hwy. 146). Randy Wall & Stephen Avery will join Roger and I in the rhythm section, and we're hoping to host a few special Mayberry-type guests (possibly Andy & Opie - maybe even Aunt Bee!).
