Tonight's episode of Hippies.TV is one of my favorites, and one that garners praise for the SIRIUS HIPPIES production team!
I love it so much that I gave it two names and never could decide which was best.
So...
Tonight
Friday at 10pm
LADIES DAY - BAYOU BLUES WEEKEND
--------
Starring Trudy Lynn, Gloria Edwards, Little Joe Washington, The New Jack Hippies, and featuring quick cameos by Texas Johnny Brown, Calvin Owens, Smokin' Joe Montes, Andy 'Too Hard For Texas' Williams, Leonard LowDown Brown, Alan Haynes, Joe 'Guitar' Hughes and a whole bunch more....
Sandy Hickey saw this one and said that she loved it, and was going to ask Nancy to make it part of the festivities next year!
That's too cool!
For those without cable (warner cable channell 17), this and other Hippies.TV episodes will be up on the web soon.

NO REPORT
No Time Just Now
----------
Marlo and I have found ourselves out of funds, and must quickly turn to money making stuff, so I won't be able to tell you about the great musicial weekend I had until later.
So - this week I'll be busy mastering DVDs and CDs, and getting them up to the web for sale. Hope the sales follow! Enough said!

HOUSTON PRESS MUSIC AWARDS
Vote for me and the New Jack Hippies
----------
The Houston Press Music Awards Showcase is possibly the very best place to check out lots and lots of local music. 65 bands for one ticket, playing 40 minutes sets at 11 locations (within walking distance) downtown. It's a hell of a party!
I'll be performing with The New Jack Hippies at 7pm at The Mercury Room.
Check out the schedule, and be sure to vote at www.houstonpress.com
We've been nominated for even another category this year -
BEST JAM/IMPROVISATIONAL ROCK
Isn't that great! The readers of The Houston Press, in their infinite wisdom, have nominated our music for so many different awards over the years (best blues, best songwriting, best rock...) that it is clear that they do understand us! At various times, we do it all!
People are starting to understand! The very newspaper that said we were a "well-rehearsed jam band" has us nominated for best improvisational rock this year! Yes - we can have it both ways - we do both!
Thank you all for your support. I'll be paying you back with new, cool, free web videos within a couple weeks, and an increase in live New Jack Hippies dates soon!
