*NEW JACK HIPPIES ACOUSTIC SHOW SUNDAY (11.13.2005)
6pm @ THE LAST CONCERT CAFE
                                                                w/ FAHL & FOLK
*Hippies.TV ON THE WEB
*WEEKLONG MUSIC CALENDAR - check out the weeknights!
*BILLY BLOCK'S WESTERN BEAT HOUSTON
                                 - Kim Miller & Tracy Conover Added!
*MAILBOX MONEY FOR SOUTH BY DUE EAST ARTISTS

No time to write this week. Just a few words and a big calendar.

We're busy as heck - beginning the organization of our great events (SOUTH BY DUE EAST, BluesGuy's Birthday Jam, and Billy Block's Western Beat Houston), and finishing up the shop on the website (including new DVDs of Carolyn, Scarface, Hippies.TV Season One and The New Jack Hippies), as all of the live gigs start kicking in for me and the band.

As always, volunteers are welcome!

The musical Cam King (Austin, Nashville)  and the equally groovy Randy Wall have signed on for guitar and keys in the inaugural Western Beat house band, and Kim Miller and Tracy Conover have joined the bill for December 2nd.

The New Jack Hippies will perform twice in Houston this week, acoustically (tomorrow - Sunday at 6pm at The Last concert cafe) and electrically (Sunday the 20th at Dan Electro's, opening for The Theives from London, one of Chelsea's favorites).

We have exposed ourselves for money this week, too! <g>

It's always been our intention to have our archival films travel the world promoting our local artists (SOUTH BY DUE EAST's other name is 'MArlo Blue's Guerilla marketing Project'). And it really works, too! People download these films and hear artists they've never heard before, all from our prolific music scene. Dan Electro's and Wil Space have hired several of the bands that they had never heard of before our gathering last year.

And now - some of us get paid to be exposed even more! Colorado's Maverick Satellite TV (MAV-TV) has taken on Mike Pierce's 'Texas Live' program for this season, and Mike had recently licensed six Hippie's.TV episodes to incorporate into his series for MAV-TV. So, several local acts will recieve exposure on thier network (subscribing cable companies all over North America), and Mike says the check is on the way, so I'll be happy to write tiny checks for Chango Jackson, Vertigo Blue, Sonny Boy Terry, Carolyn Wonderland, Dead P.A., Friends Of The Enemy, Last Soul Descendants and several of the New Jack Hippies who went to Amsterdam with me last year!! Some of these artists will be able to buy a lunch off of this mailbox money! Cool!

You can watch Hippies.TV for free, on the web at www.hippies.tv
