No time for an essay this week, but we have lots of great music going on in every media! We have so much this week, that I'm sending TWO letters!

This one is mostly for our local folks!

In this letter -
LIVE SHOWS - 2 of 'em!

OUR LIVE SHOWS!
----------
BILLY BLOCK'S WESTERN BEAT/Houston
EARLY SHOW - 8:30pm
Jack Saunders, Mandy Smith, Randy Soffar, Rose & Ben
Cover charge is $5, but we give you a $6 show!
---------
Join us for the first monthly Western Beat Show,
this Friday at Dan Electro's Guitar Bar.

It's an early show, with our stars up-front and early, too!

Western Beat/Houston TV stars will all perform
for the cameras and you before 11pm!

After 11pm, the video lights go off and the music continues
for those wishing to dance, listen, talk and drink into the night.

We will hold Western Beat nights on the last Friday of every month, with a new format guarantees to give you a full evening of entertainment in time to get home and sleep before your Saturday morning work-shift or little league game.

This Friday, our New Jack Western Beat Hippies house band will include the talents of Mickey Burton (on drums) and the beautiful and talented Bubba Gould (on pedal steel and electric guitars). Mickey is a great drummer, and drummed with Roger, Billy and I in the Zap Rhythm Band, a long time ago. He's coming in from Louisiana for the show, after injuries were sustained by both of our scheduled drummers (Leesa Squyres and John Chupin - in seperate incidents).

Sorta like joining Spinal Tap...

Anyway, Roger and I are thrilled
to have these guys with us to back up
Jack Saunders and Mandy Smith
in the 9 o'clock hour!

We'll also be treated to a 10pm set from Rose & Ben,
and Randy Soffar will open the show at 8:30
and be back to jam with us after 11:00!
