It's getting very exciting over here, as we finish the SXDE2006 film while contacts are made and visits are held with artists who are considering appearances at SOUTH BY DUE EAST 2007 in March (16-19). It's fun talking to all of the artists, and a blast listening to all of the new music on their websites (some more of a blast than others...).
I'll print the list of artists below.
In a few days, I'll be a musician again. The New Jack Hippies will perform at home on nine occasions in the next 45 days. I can't wait to begin playing again.
For those who read this letter to hear of the exploits of musicians on the road and at home, I must report nothing new. For these couple of weeks, my musician's hat is put aside to make way for the film-makers beret and the event promoter's metaphorical bad comb-over.
