Reply | Forward Message #95 of 235 |
This won't be a long letter. I just want to tell you that we're playing at Dan Electro's tonight.

I'm very excited about the line-up!

Teri Greene will join Roger, Leesa and I on guitar, and Ian Varley (from DROP TRIO) will be there to play keyboards! It should be a musical thriller, so we're bringing the recorders!

We hope Chaz has a great time at his high-school reunion in New York, and we're thrilled he decided to go.

We are so pleased that Bob & Mel Bell have opened Dan Electro's for longer hours (including happy-hour acoustic shows) and more nights per week!

We put the band together at Dan Electro's and are always at home on that stage, but we'll miss Dr. Zoomack! If you are really missing Dr. Zoomack, too, you can visit him at his new OLE MOULTON BANK, in Moulton, Texas, where he and Harvana will host MARK ZEUS and the Thunderboltz tonight!

But - for us , it's...

GUY SCHWARTZ & THE NEW JACK HIPPIES
at
Dan Electro's Guitar Bar
Tonight, Friday, October 8th

That's all I have time for today - gotta get ready for the gig. We'll be showing some of the upcoming episodes for Hippies.TV out on the patio tonight! If you don't yet know about Hippies.TV, you should know that Houston Media-Source has given us a weekly time slot to air our series on Friday nights at 10pm, beginning November 5th. I ran the schedule for 2004 programs in the last newsletter, but many of you have asked about resending it (I know that not everyone reads all of this, and some don't open it at all - that's OK, we're here if you need us! <g>), so here it is! Those who have already written the Hippies.TV schedule in their daytimers can skip to the WEEKEND MUSIC CALENDAR...
----------
SET YOUR VIDEO RECORDERS!
We've got our own TV show!
Hippies.TV
----------
Sirius Hippies Productions & Houston Media-Source are proud to announce that, beginning at 10pm on Friday Night, November 5th, we will be cablecasting a weekly half-hour TV show titled 'Hippies.TV', featuring our many talented friends in performance and on short films.

Hippies.TV will be hosted by ME, and feature dozens of diverse artists in a short film format. Schwartz' band, The New Jack Hippies, will be featured on several programs, along with artists including Carolyn Wonderland, Gloria Edwards, Los Skarnales and Little Joe Washington. The films already in the can feature Houston musicans, poets, local arts movers-and-shakers and bands in locations like Austin, Colorado, Florida & Amsterdam.

WTP-TV is a product of Houston Media-Source, and is carried on Houston Time-Warner Cable channel 17. Hippies.TV will be seen weekly on channel 17, at 10pm on Friday nights, beginning November 5th.

WTP-TV is also carried on Kingwood Cable and at least one other cable company. I'll get that info to you as I find it!

Many of the short films to be featured are the work of Guy Schwartz and partner Marlo Blue, but they expect to see some participation by other film makers as the series finds it's niche.
