Hello I am Stefan, a student at university from Australia. I'm a
lover and I can dance a bit too. I think so. This yahoo group
seems to have died which is a shame! I'm going to post to it
anyway, at least if no one reads it, no one will be annoyed if I
crap on.

I'm a relatively new fan, I do not profess a deep knowledge of this
band and have never been to their concerts. But I can not believe I
didn't like U2 all that much until recently. Well, I heard the Best
of 1980-1990 cd years ago and thought they have some good songs and
are quite good at playing... then I was given the Slane 01 DVD and
it was incredible... and I got Rattle & Hum for my self after that
and I am definitely going to get more DVDs.

I love Exit on the Rattle & Hum DVD, I think this is one of my
favoirite of Edge's performances ever, I wish I could hear it again
for the first time, but it still gives me chills. it seems like he
is making this noise that is pent up energy, just waiting to be
released into that intense solo. The hands of love, mmm... when I
listen to this, I am not the religious type so I start to I think
Bono perhaps has hands of love, and well, nevermind.

With or Without You, on the same DVD, is one of my favoirite of
Bono's vocals. And I just lie on the floor and let Adam's bass
vibrate through my entire body.

I can not decide if I like better, Bullet the Blue Sky on Rattle&Hum
or on Slane Castle 01. They are both incredible, Edge at his best,
when he plays, I can see those fighter planes. The rattle & hum
version seems to me more raw and harsh, and does sound more like the
devastation of war. But the Slane one is more sophisticated. I
love both.

End of the World, Slane 01. Not in my opinion Bono's best but Edge
just rocks my world, some of his best work ever! And I love when
they "fight" at the end and Bono collapses and Edge "kills" him =)

Beautiful Day (Slane 01) the best bits are where the yellow light
bursts out like sunlight and envelops the audience along with the
burst of sound. Man I wish I'd been there. This song makes me feel
totally hyperactive. I can't listen to it and still be in a bad
mood.

Staring at the Sun (Slane 01) Bono and Edge sing to each other and
Edge has his eyes shut like he's in another world, and they hug and
it's gorgeous =) =) What excactly was Bono trying to do just before
he drops the mic? Is he about to kiss Edge or to sneakily take his
hat off him when his eyes are closed!

Desire (Rattle & Hum DVD) because this is such an intense song to me
it is all about being horny horny horny. And Bono is HOT in it, he
looks totally dangerous, and sexy as hell.
