We have put up a forum for u2 ticket trading for the upcoming 360 tour, their is
a separate forum/topic for each date. This was created for trading tickets
and/or selling them at face value only (including the service charges). We had
the space on our server so i thought we could provide a place for this to
happen.

http://www.u2ticketexchange.com

A reminder to please take a look at our main site, www.u2ticketstubs.com as we
try to gather a complete collection of U2 ticket stubs from beginning to end.

Thanks,
Dan

If anyone out there is even remotely interested about participating in a
documentary about U2 fans around the world, *please* contact me by the 1st of
September 2008. (gypsyheart@...) (that really really is the last day).

The documentary is going to be broken up in to segments about different types of
fans, and I'm still looking for the following:-

- Fanzine Editors - in the pre-internet days, they gave us the news.
- Web Masters - our current source of news and information.
- Collectors - those with extensive U2 collections
- Cover Band Members - self explanatory
- Activists - If you have been involved in a charity or what not
- Artists - If U2 have inspired you artistically
- Writers - If you're a published writer of U2 material
- Musician - If you learnt to play an instrument because of U2
- Families - if you have grown up in a U2 family
- Wirelings - If you were a member of Wire, if you helped to get the  wire
banner around the Popmart tour, if you helped make Wiretags
- Friends - if you have met people via U2 fansites, concerts, fanzines
- Inspired - If U2 have inspired you in some unique way
- Concerts - if you were at any of the important gigs like Slane 1, Slane 2,
Vegas Popmart, Lovetown Dublin
- Critics - if the band has made choices that you have questioned
- Faith - if your spiritual side has been awakened by U2
- Bono's Babes - if you have been invited on stage during a U2 concert

Basically, if you are a fan and have a story, and you feel comfortable about
appearing in a documentary film, please contact me at gypsyheart@....

If you're not comfortable with having your face on a big screen, there are other
alternatives available.

 Kind Regards

I'm putting together a documentary that explores the diversity of the
U2 Fan Community around the world and their experiences.

The only way that I can really do that is by using set questions,
with fans recording themselves on a digital camera/digital video
camera, and then sending it to me.

I'm looking for interesting, moving, entertaining, unique,
extraordinary and ordinary stories that U2 fans are willing to share
about their experiences as fans.

The focus of the documentary is on eight categories - Sacrifice,
Social Justice, Emotions, Experiences, Relationships, Inspirations,
Community and Thank Yous - with set questions framed around these
categories. These are open to change depending on where this project
leads.

I'm looking for a little more than 'this is my favourite song/album'.

The vibe that I'm looking for is similar to the confessional booth
used at the Zoo Tv gigs.

Ticket stubs from U2 gig are going to be used for the opening
sequence, and I'm appreciate any scanned copies that I can get my
hands on!

Please email me at gypsyheart@... if you would like to
participate or for further information.

Kind Regards

Natalie

Saw the film in L.A. on opening night.

I was at a loss for words after seeing the movie. As soon as the
titles
start, the 3D technology becomes apparent.

This ain't your Dad's 3D, let me tell you.

The opening shot at first appears as it you are looking at a darkened
stage.
The camera is up high. It soon becomes apparent that the camera is
behind
the stage looking out over the huge crowd!

It's a jaw-dropping moment!

The 3D technology is simply amazing. I really lack the words to
describe
it. There are moments when you actually feel like you can reach out
and
shake hands with the Boys! The moments in "Streets" where the crowd is
bouncing in unison REALLY comes alive in 3D.

The 3D is fairly subtle in that there's little that pops out at you
and
makes you duck. None of that kind of sensationalism. Instead, it's as
if
you are standing on the freakin' stage watching them.

There are shots where it is impossible to distinguish the crowd in the
theater from the heads of the crowd in the audience of the show.
There were
moments when I wanted to tell someone to freakin' sit down. Luckily, I
realized that they were on the screen before I made a fool out of
myself!
LOL!

We saw this at the IMAX theater. I'm assuming that this has a bit more
impact that standard theaters, but perhaps not. Still, if you can see
this
at the IMAX, I HIGHLY recommend seeing it there, at least once. I'll
see it
at least once again at an IMAX theater, but I'll go for repeated
viewings
when it opens at the digital-projection theater down the street from
me.

I'm hoping that there will be a DVD soon. I think that the 3D WILL
work on
home-screens; the bigger the better, of course!

All in all, the buzz surrounding this awesome movie is actually
UNDERSTATED!
It was the finest concert film I've ever seen, and not just because
of U2.
In fact, the 3D is the REAL star of the film. The U2 content is ALMOST
secondary.

OK - not really, but you get my point. I wouldn't go see Brittany
Spears
3D, even if you paid ME to go, so . . .

Some of the best 3D moments were when the camera made you feel like
you were
standing right next to Larry and his kit. The drum kit really
displays the
3D to it's maximum effect! Also, there are moments when Adam whips
his bass
around in front of your nose! It made me laugh many times.

The 3D is natural. That's the best way to describe it. And the extra
stuff
the editors and special-effects people do, such as the animated bits
(in
3D!) during "Love & Peace . . ." are really cool!

Stick around through the credits - the whole theater did, anyway - as
"Yahweh" is performed over the credits.

We were supposed to return the 3D glasses, but I stole my pair. Yeah,
so
what! - Have me arrested! There's no U2 markings or anything on the
shades
- which SHOULD have been Bono-shades! - but they DO have the IMAX
logo on
them, and are the perfect souvenir.

RUN as quickly as you can to see this remarkable film. I predict that
in 10
years time ALL films will utilize this technology. The natural feel
of the
3D would enhance ANY film, and any good movie would be vastly
improved. I
can easily see all films being made this way.

The photography crew and the editors deserve to be nominated for
Academy
Awards for their work.

I'm sure I'll think of more to add to this raving review, but nothing
I
could say could do justice to the experience.

The word "awesome" is SO overused that it has lost its true meaning.
But
this movie was truly awesome in that I sat there in awe of the
cutting-EDGE
technology I was witnessing.

Just go see it. WOW!

Hi everyone!!!

   I'm gonna follow Ethan's example...

My name is Juan Jose Colin. I live in Mexico City. I'm still recovering from
the U2's concerts of the Vertigo Tour that took place last febreary. I rarely
listened U2's songs, and was on a "singles-searching" period ten years ago. The
first one that i got was "Hold me, Trill me, Kiss me, Kill me" and
"Discotheque". During the Pop Mart Tour, i was having economic problems and was
unable to assist to the concerts here in Mexico City.

But my first album was "All That You Can't Leave Behind". From that moment i
was hooked and fell in love with them. I started to get ther rest of the albums
backwards and to get material from the net.

It's nice to know that this kind of group exist, but it's a shame that's so
inactive...

   Take care guys!

I've been listening to U2 since my Dad bought "Boy" in 1980 and played
it to death on his record player (almost as much as he played "The
Unforgettable Fire"), but I didn't claim U2 as my #1 until "Rattle and
Hum", and that's when the fantaticism began. I've seen U2 live 12
times. My favorite shows have been: well, the first one, of course
(Zoo TV Inside Broadcast), and then the one I saw with my Dad
(Elevation tour) and this last time (Vertigo, floor, a few feet away
from Bono!). I've never known any other gay U2 fans, so it's great to
be on here and I'd love to hear all your U2 stories. Take care.
Until next time . . .

Well, here's MY story about Fanfire and U2.com membership.

Ever since the mid 80's, my best friend and I have split our Propaganda
membership. We aren't greedy like some folks I know who actually signed
up their freakin' DOG. All we wanted was news and a fair shot at
tickets through the fan club.

We had absolutely no problem with getting tickets through Prop. I loved
Prop!

Then things changed. Sort of.

When it was announced that Propaganda would be replaced with U2.com
membership, no sweat. We were to get a discount as returning Propaganda
members. Half price for U2.com membership.

COOL! So we went for it. And we got it with ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS OR
GLITCHES.

And, yes, I heard all the horror stories.

Then came the ticket fiasco. We didn't score tickets, but then neither
did anyone else. Larry took care of that for us, and we scored our
tickets as promised without any problem. Thanks Larry!

A couple of weeks ago, it was time for us to renew our U2.com
membership. Instead of doing it online, we called Fanfire over the
telephone. I waited for an operator for less than 5 minutes, renewed
the membership in less than 10 minutes. Again, no problem. The young
lady who helped us was named Happiness. I kid you not. She lived up to
her name and the experience was a joy. Happiness gave us a coupon code
for 25% off any U2.com purchase. COOL!

I got that coupon in my email 48 hours later.

LESS than 10 days later, the U2 Communication CD's arrived in the mail.
The threat of copying it and sharing it was also included.

My story seems to be the exception, I know, but we have had absolutely
NO problems with our U2.com membership. NOTHING.

While I still don't trust Fanfire, I really cannot say that I have had a
bad experience with them. Same goes for U2.com. Pricey? YES! But U2
are the biggest freakin' band on the planet; the price for their fanclub
is less than some, more than others.

I wish it was that easy to renew my driver's license!

U2 ROCKS!
WOO HOO!
:o)

OK - when you save the files to your computer, for some weird reason
they save as .htm files.

They work fine IF you change the extension to .wmv.

I don't know why this is happening, but at least you can see them!

Next time I'll make .mpg's!

was here in Mexico City. This got me thinking...i there in this group
someone who is also from Mexico City?. I saw few gay mens in the show
that i assisted (feb 15th)...

Anyway, this is a great group...keep it up....

U2 was just here in iowa and I couldn't go.DAMMIT! I'm 38 and
listened to U2 in college (late eighties) and felt like they were
good, clean, wholesome, healthy......and yet hip and unconventional,
I like less of their more recent stuff but love Elevation and Yahweh.
Completely unrelated, I just started a growing group called 'Our Own
Private Iowa' for fellowship among cultured gay men. By cultured I
merely mean deeper, more aware adult gay men. The group was intended
for men in and around Iowa, where I live, who may not have the
community those in large cities enjoy, but men from all over are
joining. The group is designed to focus on other needs than just
sexual. I hope to see it become a fellowship of high calibre men.
Check it out........
      http:groups.yahoo.com/group/ourownprivateiowa
you won't find it on yahoo group search, you'll have to key in the
address.
My favorite U2 lyric is from Indian Summer Sky
off 'Unforgettable Fire'

It repeats several times like a melodic chant...."The wind
goes through to my heart, the wind blow's through my soul."

HELLO! HELLO!!!

U2-Tampa mailing list has an open invitation for you to come to a pre-
show gathering on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 7:30 PM at Adobe
Gila's Grill on 8th Avenue Ybor City, Florida (Centro Ybor).

Unlike those silly ETS people who have a party 10 minutes before the
show starts, we are doing this the day BEFORE the show for the people
who want to sit in the queue for the better part of the day to ensure
they can have some of the fun too!!

For more information or driving directions please visit this site:
http://www.adobegilas.com/.

Or, if you would like other information related to the Tampa Bay
Area - where to stay, shop, eat, etc., please contact me at
U2smc@... or scarey@....

Hope to see you there!!!!

Shannon M. Carey

PS.

If anyone is interested in ride sharing from Tampa to Miami or Tampa
to Atlanta, please let me know. Also, I am looking for tickets for
11/13 in Miami -- I need up to three in any location of the venue
(but GA is preferred).

I'm looking for 3 tickets to Portland on 12/19. Not picky about seating or
GA at this point at all. I'm just after 3 tickets to that show at face
value plus shipping. Want to take the kid along with my wife. It would be
his first rock concert. Please contact me at
h_sekhon@...

Thanks,
Harmeet
