Re: [U2 The Zoo Station] U2 meeting stories wanted

- My names A J Navarrete and this is my U2 expierince. And although
Im not sure if the story im about to give is good or not, its worth a shot:

It was the week before The Elevation Tour was actually about to kick off here in
Miami. They (U2) were at the Miami Arena rehearsing. The sound was magnificent,
we could put our ears up against the glass doors of the entrance to the Arena
and hear the band pounding away on snipets of songs.
The 1st night that the full band was in town, they all left in seprate cars, but
did not stop for Auto's or Pics with the fans. We all had our "I just dropped my
icecream on the hotass Miami sidewalk" faces on, until the next day!
It was about Noon, and me and 3 other fans were outside listening in on Edges'
Gutiar licks. One of the fans had a CB radio that picked up the wireless sounds
of the gutairs and mics.
Then when we least expected it, from the corner of my eye, I saw a 5"7"
gentleman come out of one of the side emergency exit doors of the arena.

Without a bodyguard, Adam Clayton crossed the street to where we were and spoke:
"Hello everyone"
us- "Hey Adam"
Adam- "Were you all waiting outside last night?"
"Yes, that was us"
It must have been about 12 poeple on the 1st night of the gatherings at the
arena. By the time the 23rd of March rolled around there must have been at least
50 to 80 ppl outside waiting to hear songs, get pics and autograpghs.
Anyway, back to Adam:
"Im sorry we did'nt stop and see you guys, we were tired from the
flight"
Im thinking and I said it out loud to him:
"You don't need to apologize to us, Adam!"
So he signed our stuff, My EURO edition of BOY, and ppl took fotos with him.
And then as easily as he walked towards us, he walked right back to the arena.
We waved and bid him "seeya later, Adam," and it was like the "Still Havent
Found " video when he looks back, smiles and waves to us "Bu Bye"
That was one of the coolest times Ive had with the Band. The other, was taking a
side-by-side picture with the Edge, Bono, and Adam signing my stuff. Seeing Paul
McGuiness get out of his Mercedes and wave to us, and Gavin Friday on the
passenger side of Bono's Mercedes, getting out and taking pics with fans as
well..... while Bono smooches with us.

Well, Im hopeing that was a cool story, it happed to me so its awsome to know
that a 1 on 1 like that with a band member is an amazing expierience.
I had a 1 on 1 with Shirley Manson as well once, gave her a rose and with my
ZooTV t-shirt on at her concert, told her that "Bono says hello" She giggled and
said " I wish him love, darling and for you 2"

Thank You for this chance and oppt.
I hope this was of help.
