The purpose of the list is for the discussion of indie music with main focus on the UK. The term "indie" often causes great argument over what constitutes "indie" music but the purpose of the list is not to argue this point! In theory anything which is likely to be featured in the music press, such as NME and MelodyMaker, is fair material, regardless of its distribution system. Generally, the membership of the list decide what topics are valid and fit the spirit of the list. Just follow the simple rules of netiquette to keep everybody happy.
