Here's a notice I received from Jim Beloff. Some of you might be interested if
your in Connecticut.
Lucille
TO: All Connecticut shoreline area past, present and future ukulele players
RE: Quick-Start Ukulele Workshops with "Jumpin'" Jim Beloff on Thursday July
30th and Thursday August 6th from 6-8PM.
WHERE: Community Music School at 90 Main Street, Centerbrook, Connecticut.
(860)767-0026
Cost: $16 per person (call to reserve---limited seating)
Jim Beloff (Jumpin' Jim ukulele songbooks; The Joy Of Uke DVDs) introduces you
to the basics of playing the ukulele including holding, tuning, strumming and
making the chords. We will play through a dozen well-known songs learning new
chords, strums, tips and techniques along the way. Bring a GCEA-tuned uke and be
ready to have a lot of fun. At the end of the workshop you will have made a new
life-long friend-your ukulele! See uke there!
Please note: I'll be presenting different material at the 8/6 workshop so, if
you can, come to both. The 8/6 workshop is also open to families with kids grade
4 and up. Finally, if you need to borrow a uke, there will be a few to borrow
for the workshop.
Best,
Jim Beloff
