Here's the next two weeks shows (I will be in Colorado
Friday night!)... come to these shows, they are both
stunning!
August 13 Eliza Gilkyson $12/$15 8 PM
We've marveled at the majesty of the works of this third
generation poet/musician and it seems the rest of the
world is finally catching up. Eliza's music is receiving
rave review in the US, Europe and Asia and she's in such
demand that local appearances are becoming scarce. Her
lyrically sophisticated and evocative modern folk music
speaks of life's beauty, romance, awakenings, loss,
redemption and estrangement all surrounded with lush
melody. More recently Eliza has given a music voice to
social/political concerns. She accompanies her beautiful
lithe and expressive voice on guitar and piano and her
folk-rock roots give rise to driving rhythmic sessions
with Cisco Gilkyson on percussion.

Opening Victor Andrada
Local talented fellow, great songs!
August 20 Austin Lounge Lizards $15/$18 8 PM
Through 20+ years and 9 albums, The Lizards (vocals,
mandolin, guitars, bass, and banjo) have maintained a
chokehold on a musical discipline best described as
Unplugged Sardonic. Their blending of red-hot bluegrass,
folk, western swing, Conjunto and country licks with
irreverent, irrepressive lyrics that eviscerate,
embarrass, embellishes and other wise poke fun at
parody-worthy people and places has established The
Lizards as The Standard of Musical Satire. This
laugh-a-minute, in-your-face show will be a sell out,
so order your tickets early!
